COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Penn Quarter Porter is our first in a line of draft-only limited-release beer, and it’s a robust porter! In the way that The Public is on the line between a pale ale and an IPA, this is on the line between a porter and a stout - with chocolate notes and a dry, roasted finish.

Bottle. Dark pour with a thick mocha head. Dark roast (even over roasted) coffee, bandaid, leather. Toasty and smokey bitterness but surprising light body. Bitter and smokey finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can: Rich black body, velvety tan head piles up nicely on top, settles slowly, & leaves nice sheets of lacing against the glass. Robust aroma of rich chocolate fudge, lightly sweet with a bit of roasty bitterness. Hints of Italian roast espresso, light molasses, slight char, roast, faint brown sugar, & a little bit of nestled cream in there. Again, flavor shows more robustness than 5.5% ABV would have you think. Notes of bittersweet chocolate morsels, coffee, woodsy roast, faint ashy & charred tones, a bit of molasses, & perhaps the lightest hand of anise. Dark, bitter chocolate & roasted malt finish. Mouth feel thicker than a porter, but not up to stout levels. The description is fairly accurate, this is very much a "porter-stout", & a pretty tasty one at that.

12 oz can despite the description. A very nice chocolate porter! Opaque pour w/ a big foamy mocha head that leaves a little lacing. The aroma is chocolate, toffee, & a light roast. The taste is a nice balance between the chocolate & roasted notes. Not as bitter as most porters but this is quite tasty! I can certainly see this as a stout hybrid.

Can on 8/6/14. Pours jet black with a light tan head that clusters. Nose is faint, some metal, chocolate. Taste is some sour metal, roasty, milk chocolate, finishes with cocoa powder. Rather enjoyable despite some metallic notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours opaque cola-brown with a 2-finger dark tan head. Aroma of nutty malt with a touch of coffee. Medium body with a mild oily thickness and a lightly dry finish. Roasty malt flavor, with some coffee and a touch of citrus at the back.

12oz can, purchased from Perfect Pour. Canned 3/11/14. Pours a black, or very dark brown color. Foaming, bigger airy-brown head. Awesome loose splotches of lace. Awesome heavy roast, dark chocolate, and big coffee flavors to this. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, moderate carbonation. Light chewiness to the texture. Good long roasty coffee aroma in the finish. Some good earthy hop to it. Moderate bitter, moderate sweet taste. Solid, flavorful porter. Definitely stands out. Texture is a little soft, though, with stronger carbonation. Good one to enjoy with my sandwich, overall.

Can:   Big chocolate roasty nose, somewhat sweet, also like a dark chocolate that is more bitter sweet.   A little dry and chalky.   Fairly robust.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Roasty finish, sweet, some dark chocolate notes.   Simple yet solid Porter!   Low hop bitterness.   Thanks Brad!
