4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft at Whole Foods in Alexandria, VA.
Served alongside On The Wings of Armageddon.
The beer appears amber hued with a small, off-white head. Grandiose fresh hop aroma. This is a great showcase for Mosaic hops. Hop forward with a light, sourdough bread backing. Mild bitterness in the back. Big flavor and long lasting aftertaste. So fresh. This was definitely on the same level as OTWOA. Impressive.

32oz growler I picked up at the brewery. Pours a hazy, dark orange with some thin, lacing white head. Nose is classic DIPA, big punchy citrus, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, some stone fruit, grass, lightly herbal, perfume, malt, honey. Flavor has more punchy herbs than the nose, garlic shoots, chive, ramps, a nice complimentary sweetness, tangerine, grapeefruit, a little sticky nectarine, honey. Full bodied, lightly sweet, bitter finish. Really nice. As good as Wings, in my opinion.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A: enticing hop tones
Ap: looks like OTWOA
T: body of OTWOA but bitter and unbalanced
P: smooth initial palate with notes of strawberry and mango. Hint of citrus
O: good looking smelling and tasting until you get punched in the mouth with that slighlty unbalanced hop action. Aerating while drinking improves earthy tones.
A little tweak and this could be a go to just like OTWOA

Tap. Burnt orange with some ruby tones, very murky. Berry hoppiness at first with some resin and late scallion in the aroma. Flavor has berry, lemon and is resinous with some bright light lemon. Heavier body.
