COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Citizen can best be summed up as "a trip around the world in a can". We start off with our classic recipe that contains American and British hops, and pair them with a distinctive Belgian yeast for a taste that brings together a little bit of everywhere. The Citizenís nose is of delicate yet floral hops, becoming more fragrant as it warms. This, along side a sweet malt finish, strikes a wonderfully drinkable balance that will bring you all the way back to our nationís capital. Become a Citizen of the world, one sip at a time!

A golden pour with a small white head. Aroma is lite and sweet with a hop profile that is floral. Very unique beer that could be drank year round a little sweet and a little peppery.finsh is dry and just a touch bitter.

12oz can courtesy of Greg G. Golden amber hue, murky clarity (cannot see through glass) with mostly diminishing white head. No lacing. Sweet aroma, grain, citrus (orange), floral aromas. Sweet taste (citrus) & grain up front with more grain on the finish. Light body, oily texture. I may have missed some things on this beer, but I enjoyed it. Had "The Public" after this, rating on this one to come.

Can into a tulip. Pours a deep golden/light amber color with a thick, long-lasting white head. Smells of fruits and sweet malts. Very little complexity to the flavor, just sweet malt and a hint of fruit, with a dry finish. Not a bad beer, but not great.

Light, malty bread-like flavor with a punch of yeast and earthiness, grass, and hops. Smooth, trailing finish.

Can from Whole Foods. Pours turbid orangy with off-white head. Nose is noble hops, yeasty, hoppy and citric. Tastes bready malty, with a big melon and orange marmaladey fruitiness, resiny hops, and a smooth, complex finish. This one is solid.

Aroma - is a sweet malt with a little alcohol and somewhat floral Appearance - is a hazy golden color with an initial white head that fades into nothing. Taste - the taste is somewhat unpleasant, sort of malty sweet and too floral Palate - the feel is effervescent and sharp. Not a beer Iíll fondly remember.

Can. Light Belgian yeast, faintest hint of funk; lightly sweet, bready malt; bit of fruit; floral, light citrus hops. Nice, fresh beer. My favorite of all the DC Brau year-round offerings.

Location: 12 oz can from Sparrow, 12/29/13

Aroma: The nose is Belgian yeast, lots of spice, some citrusy hops, and bread
Appearance: It pours a murky looking orange juice color with a small off-white head
Flavor: Th flavor is more doughy, with plenty of spice, yeast, and some light hops
Palate: The body is medium, it has a tingly feel, plus carbonation, and a semi-dry finish
Overall Impression: This was not my favorite DC Brau beer, but it wasnít bad either. I think the rest of this 6 pack will go to good use as a party beer on the just around the corner New Years decent beer drinkers day.

Thin head of off-white bubbles with good carbonation. Light citrusy and grassy aroma with some hay, tea leaves, herbal hops and some sour lemon candies. Color is a hazy golden orange. Lots of earthy flavors with more lemons and citrus, roasted grains, dry chalky malts and some yeast overtones. Noticeable alcohol presence and tingle. Quite lively in the mouth too. Finishes dry and bitter more lingering earthy hops and lemon grass. A decent belgian!

12oz can from Crossroads Spirits. Pours a cloudy burnt orange color with a frothy 2 finger white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, banana, and Belgian yeast. Taste of citrus skins, Belgian yeast, clove, hints of banana, and some grapefruit bitterness. Eh
