Sampled on 10/11/12 at GABF. This Belgian Ale pours a hazy yellow gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet, yeasty and sweet. A medium bodied Belgian Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, estery and yeasty. The hops are herbal. Decent carbonation. A touch yeasty and slightly sweet. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

On tap @ the brewery. Poured a magnificent orange with a huge white fluffy head and notable lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, floral and citrus hops, and banana. Enjoyable yeast flavor introduces itself to the palate followed by clementine and lemon zest and a hint of tropical fruit flavor. Smooth dry finish. Extremely drinkable pale ale with wonderful aroma.

Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a tall, off-white head.
Scent is yeasty, spiced fruit.....somewhat sour at first.
Taste is sharp malt, slightly bitter, harsh lemony fruit and yeasts.
Mellows some as it warms..
Not bad..
Thanks to Shrubber for the can,

Decent. The nose is yeasty with some notes of spice and a touch of banana. Golden with a foamy white head. The taste is balanced leaning toward yeast flavors and a balance of malt and floral bitterness. Clean and carbonated.

Can. Cloudy yellowish-orange, with a fine, thick head. Fruity, estery nose, with peach, melon, banana. Yeasty, slightly Belgian, bready malt. The flavor is malt that is a bit harsh, very yeasty, somewhat astringent Bananas. Rather sweet. Ok, but it needs work.

Thanks, Doug and Marcia! This one wasn’t quite up to the level of The Corruption, and its generic "Belgian" profile was kind of messy. Nose was way too perfumey, with a yeast dose that seemed consumed by an indecisive pair of efforts - bury-the-needle malts here, sharp hops there. The muddle carried over into the taste, where - interestingly - the base seemed anonymous and the yeast too overbearing.

Can. Thanks, Chris. Sweet/sour nose with some Belgian yeast and a touch of banana. Cloudy honeyish yellow. Flat dull sweetness in initial; estery, fruity mid palate; final balances out with a bit of alc. fumes. Thin-medium body, a little astringent. Okay. Esters come on a bit too strongly.

Can from total wine Fredericksburg. Pours golden with a half inch off white foam. Nice Belgian yeast notes on the nose. A little hop goodness one the tongue. Finishes clean. Fairly solid example of style. It’s a bit high in booze to be a session beer but I liked it.
