3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a cloudy bronze color with a huge creamy orange head that left good lacing. The aroma was strong gritty and leafy floral hops. The flavor was strong gritty and leafy floral and herbal hosp and was very bitter. Long bitter leafy floral hop finish. Medium body. Ok.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ar: Resinous pine, lemon - pepper and juicy orange - some caramel sharpness.
Ap: Amber-red, hazy - large off-white head with great retention, leaves a web of lacing along the glass sides, a ring of foam, and a top layer.
T: Big pine flavor - lemon and lime accents - burnt caramel - clean, warming alcohol - bitterness is high, a bit rough - finish is more lemon and pine.
P: Medium body with high carbonation - finish is dry.
O: Very piney IPA - pretty heavy malt backbone, but the bright largely hoppiness keeps it in check.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 Can: radiant copper, muddled & hazy with a nice, thick, eggshell cap with good staying power that leaves nice lacing behind. Aroma has notes of grapefruit, orange, citrus, spicy & herbal hops, leaves, & some dank resins in the finish. Taste has watery citrus, spicy, peppery, & ashy hops, pine-y hop oils, & a pith/peel citric character in the finish. Abrasively bitter, almost. Bready malt in the aftertaste, perhaps even a touch of caramel, but the sweetness is swallowed by the heavy, heavy bitterness. I feel the insanely spicy & bitter hoppiness could be toned down just a bit here, but itís still fairly decent when all is said & done.

Can thanks to Gene. Pours a clear dark almost red copper color with a large white head. A sweet biscuit nose with some fruity hops. A medium bitter flavor with lemons and oranges, some caramel malts, earthy and dry at times, some perfume and oil. Very nice brew.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at the brewery. Taster poured into a plastic cup. Orange, hazy appearance with white head. Hard to appreciate lacing or retention. Flowery hop, citrus rind, and mild caramel malt aromas. Citrus and pine bitterness dominates the flavor with some biscuit and citrus sweetness. Long dry bitter finish. Medium body, moderate-plus carbonation. Fair, but not high on the repeat list.
