COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Corruption is our take on an India Pale Ale (IPA). We will corrupt your palate with dangerously drinkable malts as well as assertive piney and citrusey hop aromatics, letting some alcohol and sugars sneak through. The crimson copper color coupled with with a nose, filled with plenty of citrus fruits canít help but bring you down to our level. This is one shady deal that you wonít be able to pass up!

12 oz can. Amber in color with an average off-white head. Aroma is of herbal hops, spicy, pine, resin, and grain. Taste is of herbal and woody hops, light resin, and light grass.

Can. The look is a lacing white head, amber in color, and clear in look. The smell is caramel, pine, hop, fruit, and cardboard. The taste is pine, fruitiness, hops, caramel, and ok.

This may sound funny, but the mouthfeel this IPA imparts is my favorite characteristic. Itís lightly bitter, but full and creamy. However, the aroma and flavor strike me as being straight out of 1994. Newt Gingrich might approve, but the overtly malty notes donít transition very well into the overtones of pine imparted by the hops. I feel like Sierra Nevada would have rejected this recipe 20 years ago as being not quite harmonious enough to make the cut.

Aroma is heavy pine with light grapefruit. Taste is really dank like musty skunky weed and pine trees. Finishes really heavy skunk and weed. Snowbama aproves.

Solid IPA from the capitol! Pour is a nice amber with a thin white head. Aroma is hoppy and the finish is great.

Drank from can. Nose has a strong hop presence for a normal IPA. Taste is good on the tongue, strong citrus and piney taste. But the aftertaste leaves the undesirable taste of skunk in my mouth. It brings down what started as a solid IPA down a couple of notes in my book. I will not buy this beer again.

Orange / amber in color with nice fluffy head, but after that it s just average. Some nice astringent hops in the flavor, aroma seems almost sour. Malt and hops, with some tart hoppiness on the finish.

Draft at Moriartys. Hazy dark amber the starts with a decent frothy white head. Big hop notes off the top. An unusual mix, strong IPA with a creamy malt backbone. Looks (and tastes) very big on resiny, earthy, woody, citrus, floral hops - but the finish feels (to me) smooth and creamy. Trying to get my head around it. Rare case where the structure is more interesting than the flavors.

A very nice release, this was given to me by Travlr. This was what Iíve come to expect for the most part from DC Brau who seems to do a good job of pushing the boundaries of what the area is capable of (based on a limited sample size). Should I get the chance I would love to visit the tap room.

Aroma / Appearance - A caramel creamy base percolates below long lived starchy white head. Almonds, resin, and pine brighten the air. Lemon cheesecake made with fresh graham crackers adds a nice foundation.

Flavor / Palate - A warm bitterness slowly unfolds on the tongue. Mellowing over the course of a few seconds it has a creamy texture that is filling. Residual lemons and nutty hops linger in the fresh finish. A true East Coast IPA should be a go to for anybody in DC Brauís market.
