COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Corruption is our take on an India Pale Ale (IPA). We will corrupt your palate with dangerously drinkable malts as well as assertive piney and citrusey hop aromatics, letting some alcohol and sugars sneak through. The crimson copper color coupled with with a nose, filled with plenty of citrus fruits canít help but bring you down to our level. This is one shady deal that you wonít be able to pass up!

12 oz can into a pint glass. A: Pours a hazy copper color. The head is pretty tall, thanks to an aggressive pour - about two fingers high and off-white in shading. It fades at a moderate rate, and leaves behind small rings of lacing on the glass. S: The aroma is absurdly biscuity. I also pick up some floral, piny hops behind it, but wow, this has one of the strongest bread-like components Iíve ever encountered in an IPA. No citrusy notes here, sadly; considering Columbus hops donít give off much of a citrus aroma, thatís not really surprising. T: Biscuit notes trail down into the flavor profile, and cluster near the opening. Hops last throughout the flavor profile, and are very floral in nature, perhaps even nectar-esque. Finishing bitterness is mild, balanced well by the malt backbone. I have to say, it grows on me the more I drink it. M: The body is just a shade under medium. A clean, dry finish helps to scrub off any excess resin, but it will still linger slightly as more is consumed. Carbonation is about right, maybe 5% too low. O: Very well made, but not my style of IPA. I prefer the lighter-colored, citrusy versions over the coppery, crystal-malt-and-pine ones. Itís still a good IPA, especially if youíre into the latter.

Amber/orange color, clear. Medium body, intense flavor, smooth texture, low carbonation, lingering and flavorful palate. Bitter but not dry, pleasant acidity, well balanced. Hoppy, complex, herby, fruity, nutty malt. Very enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draft at DCA airport. Always like to sample the local brews when hanging out between flights at an airport. Often I am met with disappointment but not this time. This is a great IPA, looking forward to sample some other DC Brau brews next time I get the chance.

Can - 355ml. Hazy amber body with a thin, lasting, white frothy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with citrusy, malty, and herbal hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries coriander, citrusy, and woody notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. Very enjoyable IPA.

Can. Light amber, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate to full, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, some caramel and light bread with light tropical fruitiness, piney - some grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel and light tropical fruitiness, piney - light grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and dryish lightly, light caramel and bread, faint fruitiness, lots of piney - some herbal hoppyness. Bready IPA. Well hopped but in he finish bitterness gets bit sharp and soapy.

Hazy light Amber with golden highlights and an ample off white rocky head. Generic, faint IPA aroma. Crystal malt and muddled American hops. Flavor is sweet chewy crystal malt up front. Piney, sticky hops and a somewhat abrasive bitterness follow. I don't mind bitterness, but this seems to be all sweetness and bitterness without a ton of hop character to make it all worthwhile. On paper it sounds like I should like it. Balance is there, it's not quite boring, and there's nothing unappealing. It just never comes together into something better than average.

Pours a slightly brownish copper with an off-white head. Aromas are citrus, pine, and some herb. Little bits of alcohol. The flavor is marred with some pretty strong catty/ashy notes. Otherwise mainly pine, but there is some citrus trying to break through as well. Medium and slightly sticky body with lingering grassy flavors.
