Sampled at 4th NoVA Summer Brewfest. Pours hazy orange with a large, frothy cream colored head, medium-long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (biscuit, meal, grain), heavy hops (citrus, herbal, earthy), and average esters (fruity) with notes of apricot. Flavor is bitter, heavy hops with malt underneath. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth and a dry finish.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Braudog (4607) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Can. Nice American-style pour, airy and well-topped, opaque dark bronze underneath. The aroma is nice, laden with piney goodness. This drinks with a more robust woodsiness than I’d anticipated, chewy with tree sap, and a bitter bark-heavy outdoorsiness (#4605, 5/26/2012)
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 scottw86 (906) - Maryland, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Poured a hazy amber color with a medium-sized white head. Aroma has pine needles with citrus. Some fruit with more citrus in the taste. A good amount of hops. Crisp finish, nice.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 oteyj (1885) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 19, 2012
Opaque amber pour with a vivacious white head. Lots of citrus and piney resin in the nose lead to juicy stone fruit and orange peel in the flavor. Presumably low mash temps lead to a light body that is extremely poundable. Great attenuation with a crisp piney finish. Really nice.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 hoosiers1994 (667) - Maryland, USA - MAY 19, 2012
Can pours hazy light amber with an off white head. Aroma are earthy pine and some bitter citrus. Tastes are bitter, dry, and earthy with pine dominating. The body is light to medium and the finish is long, dry and bitter. Overall, a nice IPA
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 humlelala (399) - DENMARK - MAY 13, 2012
(12 oz can courtesy of GT2; Thanks!) Pours a hazy amber with good tan head. Good retention and lace. Aroma is hoppy with dominant notes of pine and a hint of dust. Oily texture, medium carbonation, full body and a short and slightly bitter finish. Flavour follows the nose but also shows leafy or earthy notes and a hint of bubblegum. Relatively mild bitterness - countered by the residual sweetness. Girlfriend says: "The bitterness is quite present. But it’s refreshing and not too imposing"
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 RasmusOtt (770) - Aalborg, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2012
Thanks to Travlr! Pours hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma is organic hops, orange, pine, weak tropical notes, weak sweeter malty notes behind and some citrus fruits. Taste is pine, bitter hops, pretty organic feel to it, malts behind, citrus fruits and just overall pretty decent IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 phredrik (881) - Aalborg, DENMARK - MAY 9, 2012
12 oz can from travlr. Golden pour, small white head. Aroma is very piney and citrusy with the hops, a bit of grapefruit and melon, a small hint of malt. The taste has a slightly more malty impression with some sweetness and crustiness, grapefruit and piney hoppiness, a bit citrusy, slightly tropical fruitiness. Pretty nice.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 FURLYSURIOUS (185) - Orono, Minnesota, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Poured from 12oz can to tulip:
Pours a chill-hazed mid amber with a nice looking, loose expanding head. Nice sticky lacing.
The nose is good and heavy - I’m struggling to pin this one down. There’s a nice variety of hop use here. Fruity, citrus, some apple.
The taste isn’t as complex as the nose would suggest. Leafy, obvious hops. The pine bite has been dialed back to spruce. Nice citric qualities.
Overall, this is a great beer. Wouldn’t mind having this one added to MN distribution.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 drowland (3896) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 1, 2012
5/1/12. 12oz can thanks to GT2 for RBSH2!
Hazy orange pour with a nice khaki head that sticks and laces in thick rings. Really nice hop aroma that reminds me of popping open fresh American hops while brewing... citrus, pine, dank, and more. The flavor has less of a hop pop - there is a nice chunk of citrus and pine, especially pine - but the chocolate and caramel of the malt pops through more. Still pretty tasty, though!
