Thick and rich beer. Plenty of citrusy bitterness, some pine but mostly a thick and viscousy orange flavor. Tried at their SKA beer festival in 2014.

Sample at Cambridge, pours golden color with medium to larger head. Notes are bitter hops, dark cherry, toasted malt, water and grain. Fuller bodied but muted for the most part. Isn’t anything special or awful like most of their offerings. Middle of the road ehhh.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2014 Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark golden amber with a large foamy white head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faintly tangy and dank with a bit of pine and pepper. The flavor was tangy pine and pepper. Short finish. Medium body. Pretty bland.

Tap at Max’s. Pours clear golden amber with creamy white head. Aroma is citra hops, toasted and cereal malts, light herbs, light citrus fruit, and faint dank. Flavor is dry malts forward followed by grassy and floral hops then some light citrus and pine; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Tap at Max’s. Pours clear orange with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is biscuit and cracker malt, earthy and herbal hops, light pine hops and pear esters. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness with light malt and fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

16oz pour at DC Brau’s 3rd Anniversary Party at Meridian Pint. Pours a clear dark orange with some thin, lacing white head. Nose is really nice, tropical fruit, starfruit, pineapple, honey, a little asian pear, some gum. Flavor is extremely well balanced, lightly sweet, lightly fruity, lightly bitter, starfruit, meyer lemon, orange, asian pear, some Juicy Fruit gum, a bit of grass, some mild honey. Clean, refreshing finish.

Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, pine, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hoppy, orange. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
