COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Public is a delicious easy drinking pale ale made from a simple recipe of quality grain and top notch American hops. Tawny hues of caramel and amber are a trademark of the Public ale as well as a delicious spruce crispness resulting from a beautiful abundance of hops! Truly an American style ale for the public.

A bit heavy on crystal and/or amber malts, but good balance and drinkability overall. A fairly classic take on the american original.

Can thanks to Eric. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is earthy malt and pine. Medium mouth, citrus, grass, light finish, good.

Quite a dark copper pour for a pale ale, decent hopping but well short of IPA territory, easy to drink but heavy on the caramel malt.

Hazed, reddish amber appearance with a large, off white head and good lacing. Aroma of resinous hops and caramel malts. Taste focuses on citrus, more so than in the aroma, but remains nicely balanced by a rich malt backbone. Medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel leading to an average length finish.

Can sample at a tasting at Alexey’s place. Thanks guys. Hazy copper with huge frothy off-white head. Soapy aroma with notes of lemon, flowers and grassy hops. Very bitter flavor with grassy hops, citrus, some flowers, dry, lingering bitterness. Medium-bodied. Fun to drink.

Can shared at a tasting at Alexey’s place. Thanks ThreeCats for this can! Cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma of fruity hops, slightly stale and soapy. Flavor has sweetish malt, a bit of caramel, and nice fruity hops, slightly stale. Medium-bodied.

Can from a trade. Immediately gushed all over me. Dammit. Didn’t get much atoms other than foam in my nose. Taste was all butter aspirin and metallic. Gross and made me clean up the spill.

Pours a slightly hazy, dark copper color with burnt orange edges and a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Not very " pale" but the head on this beer has great retention with streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Resinous, earthy aroma with subtle spice and grassy, earthy hop character countered by sweet malt notes. Malt sweetness is strong than expected in the nose with lots of caramel, toffee, biscuit and hazelnut. This takes away from the hops a bit but there’s still a somewhat dank and oily hop presence. Fuller bodied than expected with a crisp, dry and bitter hop presence up front that lingers over a sweet malt backbone into a sticky dry finish. Slightly floral but more dank and resinous with spicy grass, earthy pine needle and spruce tip flavor. This is countered by a sweet malt backbone with lots of caramel, toffee, dark fruit, bread and biscuit. Usually I don’t prefer this much of a malt presence in a pale ale/hoppy beer, but it works here creating nice balance. Overall, not a great beer but flavorful, well balanced and very easy to drink.
