COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Public is a delicious easy drinking pale ale made from a simple recipe of quality grain and top notch American hops. Tawny hues of caramel and amber are a trademark of the Public ale as well as a delicious spruce crispness resulting from a beautiful abundance of hops! Truly an American style ale for the public.

Can into a glass. Pours a deep gold with a white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Light mouthfeel. Interesting, almost cheese-like maltiness. Not their best beer, but not terrible.

Decent beer. A little in the piney side but not bad. To me its more middle of the road then high

10-MAY-2014, draft @DC Brau. Very hazy orange with lasting off-white head. Citric hops with some pine and a good dose of caramel malt. Very fine pale ale. Easy drinking and refreshing.

On tap at Kramerbooks, in Washington, DC. Pours a cloudy orange colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pine. Taste is citrus, pine, caramel. Good stuff.

Draft. Light amber/copper color with a fluffy offwhite head. Resinous pine dominates the nose on this guy. Taste is pine forward with a solid caramel undertone that doesnt outshine the pine. Very quaffable.

Can from Whole Foods PM. Dark straw pour with off-white head. Nose is pale malt, piney hops, mild fruit. Tastes hoppy, juicy, with some fruity and floral finishing flavors.

12oz can courtesy of Greg G. Dark orange pour, murky clarity with mostly diminishing off-white head. Good lacing. Moderate citrus hop (grapefruit) and lemon on the nose. Heavy bitter dry citrus hop up front with a light dry citrus finish. More malt on the finish once this warmed a bit. Light body, dry texture, lively carbonation.

There is definitely a note of spruce here, as described. Good hoppy head with nice follow through of malt. Medium bitter finish. Very nice for style. Can at Sollyís.

Can from a trade. Solid APA here that reminded me of Dales Pale Ale - good balance of malt and hops.

Now this a good pale ale. Enough hops that they donít get lost in the malts. Enough malts that the hops donít overwhelm. Could drink many of these with a variety of foods.
