The Public is a delicious easy drinking pale ale made from a simple recipe of quality grain and top notch American hops. Tawny hues of caramel and amber are a trademark of the Public ale as well as a delicious spruce crispness resulting from a beautiful abundance of hops! Truly an American style ale for the public.

Can. Hazy orange amber pour with minimal head. Lemon bread, citrus, honey. Not too strong a carbonation but goes well with the medium body and slight sweet bitter body. Pretty good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Old Ebbitt Grill, DC. Nice amber body with thin poppy head. Nose is oranges, hops and caramel. Taste is similar of malts, orange and fruits and light spices. Some bitter in the finish. Nice job.

Can as an extra from nimbleprop - thanks! Pours very hazy orange amber with a medium off-white head that dissipates with good lacing. Aroma is pine, spruce, citrus. Flavor has little sweetness, sprucy hops, light bitterness. Light body, highly carbonated.

BIG pale ale mouth feel. Cloudiness immediately clear (haha). Flavor is there, but not as clean of a finish as you would get from a sierra or doggie style.

Pours orange with a good hop aroma for a pale ale. Caramel and amber flavors lead to a mouthful of hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Somewhat hazy amber with an over generous dark biege head that eventually settles down. Mild citrus, some pine, light marijuana, relatively fresh, semi-sweet malt. Mild carbonation (maybe it all got lost in the giant head) with a smooth and mild bitterness, becomes dry. Overall its a very smooth and easy to drink beer.

Can at clockwork’s Dec 8th, 2012 tasting. Pours a hazy orange body with white head. Aroma is strong citrus hop. Mouthfeel is bitter with strong citrus flavors dominating. Palate is a bit too bitter for me.
