The Public is a delicious easy drinking pale ale made from a simple recipe of quality grain and top notch American hops. Tawny hues of caramel and amber are a trademark of the Public ale as well as a delicious spruce crispness resulting from a beautiful abundance of hops! Truly an American style ale for the public.

Can shared at the South Park m’okay tasting. Pours hazy orange with a medium off white head. Aroma of fruity hops, earthy hops and malt. Flavour is light moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Can @ Epic view tasting, Colorado. Pours a hazy amber beer with a massive off white head on top. Aroma is malty, caramel, not much more. Flavour is medium sweet, slight hoppy characters are noticeable in the end. Gets a bit skunked in the Colorado sun though

Draught @ the Board Room, a pub in Wash., D.C. Pours clear aamber with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and metal. Watery. Faint flavour of hops and citrus. Heavy metal! Metallic aftertaste. Not good.

12 ounce can thanks to nimble prop. Poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a somewhat hazy copper with a big white head of foam. The aroma is grassy, herbal, piny, and a little citrusy. The taste is more on the floral, pine bitterness than anything else. Some cracker presence comes through about mid palate. Overall, a nice APA.

Thanks to Ed5388 for the DC tick! Pours orange brown with an offwhite head that clings. Strong aroma of grapefuit and pine. Smooth mouthfeel, caramel malt, somewhat citrusy, ends in resinous hop bitterness.

Can from probably Wegmans - pours clear pale gold, decent head. I have to say that most of the beers in this style bore me, so they end up drain pour, as an act of mercy. This one, however, I actually enjoyed and happily drank the whole thing. DC Brau, you’ve restored my belief that this is a worth while style.

Can sample at Canvitational. Poured clear dark golden color with an average to large frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop and earthy aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Solid brew.

Strong flavor. Barnyard grain and drying hops. A slow drinking beer.. Good, but not something I need again.

12 ounce can thanks to Ed. Nice hoppy aroma. Big amber pour with solid hop and malt profile. Very nice.

On tap at Ford?s poured into pint glass. Hazy copper color with one finger of head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma of grapefruit rind, pine sap, spicy. Malty flavors mixed with grassy and earthy hop bitterness. Nice balance, but not my favorite taste. Crisp mouthfeel.
