The Public is a delicious easy drinking pale ale made from a simple recipe of quality grain and top notch American hops. Tawny hues of caramel and amber are a trademark of the Public ale as well as a delicious spruce crispness resulting from a beautiful abundance of hops! Truly an American style ale for the public.

12oz can sent from Drake for free when he noticed the DC tick we traded for in 2009 didnt count any longer thanks so much Dan! Pours hazy orange with a one finger thick beige head that left delicate lacing. The nose is caramel, ripe citrus and light tropical fruit. The taste is grapefruit and pine with some faint caramel malt followed by a nice lingering resin finish. Medium bodied. Nice and hoppy solid APA thanks again Dan!

Somewhat hazy copper with an off-white head. Aroma floral and grassy with a crystal/oxidation note, not pronounced, but there. Taste bitter, floral, some subdued orange marmalade notes. A few years ago this would have been called an ipa, and I think that frame of mind was still prevalent when this was brewed. Not crisp enough for a pale ale, not quite hoppy enough for an ipa, this is a tweener... Not bad, but a little unsure of where it wants to be

On tap @ Tortilla Coast Washington DC. Pours a clear light Amber with a medium white head. Aromas are pine resin primarily with some tropical fruit. Tastes are similar but a little more balanced. Medium body, creamy with a long resin finish. Pleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
