COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Public is a delicious easy drinking pale ale made from a simple recipe of quality grain and top notch American hops. Tawny hues of caramel and amber are a trademark of the Public ale as well as a delicious spruce crispness resulting from a beautiful abundance of hops! Truly an American style ale for the public.

Thanks to Travlr for my 1st DC brew! Aroma of fresh citrus/pine with light caramel malts. Appearance is unfiltered caramel orange with sticky white head. Flavor featured fresh, juicy hops and some lingering bitterness in the finish, but not overly so. Palate was bubbly and soft. Well done.

16 oz pour on draft at gallerybar in DCA Terminal A. Slightly hazy golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of floral, citrus, light caramel. Tastes of grapefruit citrus, floral hops, caramel, sweet malt. Medium body with a dry finish. Nice easy drinking pale.

Decent enough as a pale ale. Not outstanding, but towards the higher end of what I enjoy with Sierra Pale being my gold standard by which all else is judged. If I see it on tap somewhere around town and nothing else speaks to me, I would definitely get one.

Pleasantly surprised, nice crisp, tart pale ale. Clear golden, white airy head, hoppy nose. Clean and dry, drinkables.

Pint glass at 100 Montaditos in the Navy Yard, DC. Appearance is cloudy, almost medium color, full finger of white-head. The aroma is very aromatic, with strong, floral, aromas of grass, pine, citrus, and hops. Taste is similar to aroma, plus some bitter. Palate is medium-bodied. Overall this is a pretty good beer, I’d definitely drink it again and again.

12 oz at Jaleo in D.C. Pours a deep copper color with white head. Aroma is a little bit grassy and hops and a little malt. Taste is a little bit hoppy but really just kind of the standard pale ale.

Good citrus aroma. Taste is bitter and unbalanced for a pale. Flavor is okay at first, but lingering bitterness on the tongue is a problem. Probably not one I’d buy again. (this was from a can, perhaps better in other forms).

Can... Pours hazy and orange with zillions of brown floaties and a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Good retention. The nose is an assortment of citrusy grapefruit, spicy and grassy hops, and crunchy, cookie-like malts. Full-bodied and crisp with lively carbonation. Pithy, dry, resiny bitterness in both the flavor and snappy finish. A bit tongue-numbing, but it’s washing down this pizza just fine. Can courtesy of ygtbsm94!

Pours a hazy deep gold. Little to no head at all. Aroma just smells like dust and old cardboard. Aroma mirrors the aroma but add yeast into it.
