COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Public is a delicious easy drinking pale ale made from a simple recipe of quality grain and top notch American hops. Tawny hues of caramel and amber are a trademark of the Public ale as well as a delicious spruce crispness resulting from a beautiful abundance of hops! Truly an American style ale for the public.

Thanks to Travlr for my 1st DC brew! Aroma of fresh citrus/pine with light caramel malts. Appearance is unfiltered caramel orange with sticky white head. Flavor featured fresh, juicy hops and some lingering bitterness in the finish, but not overly so. Palate was bubbly and soft. Well done.

Good citrus aroma. Taste is bitter and unbalanced for a pale. Flavor is okay at first, but lingering bitterness on the tongue is a problem. Probably not one Id buy again. (this was from a can, perhaps better in other forms).

Can... Pours hazy and orange with zillions of brown floaties and a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Good retention. The nose is an assortment of citrusy grapefruit, spicy and grassy hops, and crunchy, cookie-like malts. Full-bodied and crisp with lively carbonation. Pithy, dry, resiny bitterness in both the flavor and snappy finish. A bit tongue-numbing, but its washing down this pizza just fine. Can courtesy of ygtbsm94!

Pours a hazy deep gold. Little to no head at all. Aroma just smells like dust and old cardboard. Aroma mirrors the aroma but add yeast into it.

Big fluffy eggshell head from 12oz can. Big pine aroma, strong and pleasant. Background citrus. Orange color. Somewhat odd taste...some bitter in the finish, but the middle has some astringency and...? Faint cracker, some garlic, and...more pine?

on tap at Old Ebbitt Grill; amber color; citrusy, floral hop aroma; good, citrusy hop flavor on a medium bodied bready malt base; dry, bitter finish

Draft at a bar in the DC Convention Center area. Pours golden orange with a small, super creamy head. Nice lightly floral aroma with a hint of citrus and bready malts. Flavor follows with light citrus, good bite for an APA, light caramel sweetness. Just a hint of weird aftertaste but not offputting or super unpleasant. Light to medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Good every day brew for the peeps inside the beltway.

Clear dark orange, off-white lacing foam head. Strong bitter hop aroma, small floral notes. Likewise bitter taste, again small floral tones, some bread. Lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201411)

(DC Brau The Public) Can 355 ml from trade with vipinvelp, thanks! Served into a tulip, ABV 6% Dark orange colour on the body, almost light amber, tall and thick off-white head, with good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, light citrus, cookie dough, light orange peel. light perfume. Tasty, with some light malts and then hops, biscuit, orange zest, some light pine on the finish, quite bitter aftertaste with long duration. Medium thin body with a biting carbonation and satisfying dryness on the palate. Very good!
