1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
We’ve had the slogan "why not?" under this beer for awhile. Well, we cracked the last bottle and found out. Smells like yellow runts. Tastes like yellow runts that have dropped on the floor and were stepped on. Surprisingly nice carbonation for how old it was.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg. Yellow, hazy, very small white head. Aroma is suncream, slight banana skin. Body is medium to light, low carbonation. Taste is potato skin, light malt, semisweet, not at all bitter…not getting much banana in the flavour.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The beer pours decent with a nice hazy yellow color, that passes very little light through it, a nice white foamy head and some lacing on the glass. The smell is average with a definite sweet banana smell, mild clove, mild white pepper, and a hint of citrus. The taste is decent with a nice smooth banana flavor that gives away to a mild spicey/hoppy flavor. The mouthfeel is somewhat mediocre with a mild banana sweetness lingering but the beer is decently carbonated. Overall, if you don’t like banana (like the previous rater), then don’t buy this. On the other hand, it is a pretty decent banana flavored ale...smooth and not horribly overpowering.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
The ale pours golden with a light orange hue and small off white head. The aroma is my favorite part - a blend of viney earthy sultanas and bananas just like it reads on the label. The flavor is not the best part - earthy plantain flavors on a lighter ale with a smooth body. Not much flavor unfortunately. Great price though.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
750ml pours a light golden amber. Lot sof sediment in the 2nd pour. hints of banana in the nose plus lots of bread and raw dough.
moderate cabonation. tastes like a belgian pale with a banana aftertaste. not great but not terrible. i enjoyed it actually but probably won’t be stocking the cellar with bottles. Cool Label and worth the novelty of trying it. If you see one give it a shot.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Capped 750 from Bottle Barn. Pours dark hazy gold with a transient creamy off-white head. Aroma smells like raisin muffins. Flavor is banana, cooked banana, with some sweetish caramel/raisin flavor. Stuff is passing unusual. I don’t know whether I can consume the whole thing or not. My feelings change from quaff to quaff. Seems to go a bit towards honey with time. This one is unique. And based on the label, what does a midlle eastern costume have to do with bananas?

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
750 ml bottle
I am still not sure why I picked this up but the novelty wore off soon after taking a sip. This is a beer that makes you wonder what was going on in the head of the brewers as they were putting together a recipe. The final product is a near disaster that you should stay away from. At $12.99 it isn’t the most expensive mistake you can make but unless you have a use for 2/3rds of the bottle I’d suggest picking up something else.
Aroma / Appearance - Bubbly, the bottle foamed the second it was exposed to air. After a few minutes enough headspace formed to safely pour a glass. The resulting liquid was a carbonated golden bronze with crisp white peaks. It smelled as if somebody had poured a banana cupcake into the glass. Sweet with the smell of cheap frosting and banana chips the aroma is still somehow decent enough to merit a closer inspection.
Flavor / Palate - Fermented laffy taffy (complete with wrappers) filled the mouth upon taking a sip. Sugary and sweet like an alcopop gone wrong the beer begins to fall to pieces at this point. Whatever respect I had evaporated along with the remainder of the bottle as it went down the drain. There are plenty of worse beers out there with more pronounced flaws but the timing on this could not have been worse. Thank goodness others brought solid beer to get the palate back into focus.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
OK, I’m gonna say right off the bat that I liked this WAY more than I thought I would. Definitely smells like banana, though maybe in a slightly artificial way, like perhaps Now or Later or Runts candy. Flavor is banana - banana bread, actually - with notes of vanilla and walnuts and toast. Pretty enjoyable, actually.
