Bottled @ the Saturday session, St Albans Beer Festival 2004. Beer #24. Fairly sweet, very fruity but never over sweet. Nice.

Bottle. Cloudy brown/pale orangey reddish beer. The aroma is fruity, and the flavour is bitter notes with berry fruits coming through. Overall a drinkable fruity and mildly bitter beer.

Reddish tainted, fully hazy amberish beer; pinkish & cream-coloured head. Fruity nose, could be currant but generally red fruit. Hint of laurel and cookie malt. Strange mixture of colooured, toasted malts, and a fruity currant taste, on the edge of artificial and real. Finishes like redcurrant genever (Flemish gin with berries). MF is overpowered by alcohol, which is strange since it’s only 7%; but it reinforces the redcurrant genever impression. This is a strange one. Redcurrant lends little impression, and hence no wonder that this beer is so "undecided". has some merits however.

Bottled - St Albans Beer Festival. A subtle fruit aroma to this pinky red coloured beer. Subtle tasting fruit which I found too sweet although I have written "not pop" so obviously significantally beer enough to impress.

INteresting why these kind of beers are not easy to fin in Schipol instead Belgians. Anyway, it was very good and nice in every feature. A little perhaps suspicious in origins.

An unclear dark orange beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is sweet fruity, while the flavor is sweet with strong notes of berries: cowberries and red currants. The end is very dry.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli and Sofia. Pours a very hazy pink with a thick, white foam head. Sweet, fruity and brteady aroma. Mild sweet flavor, light tart fruits, some berries. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Finish is kind of bland, modest fruits that are lightly tart, a bit of bready malt. OK but not exciting.

With each sip I digged this a little more after initially wishing i’d not opened the bottle. Tart acidic berries and earthy textures interlock to be pretty plesant. The 7% booze is a liitle sharp and spicy. Not too sweet or sappy a fruit beer , which I speculated it might be.

330ml bottle (Bierkoning, Amsterdam)
Rich orange, fizzy pale head. Sharp tart light berry aroma. Tart berry taste, but not a caricature. A little thin and fizzy, but covers the 7% well.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Very fruity aroma with lots of berries. Very fruity flavour with a sourish touch. Very fresh and tasty.
