Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and spices - strongest is ginger. The flavor is sweet and very spicy combined with notes of alcohol and caramel, leading to a dry and lightly roasted finish. Too spicy for my liking.

Hazy nut brown color, steady creamy brownish head. Licorice, anise and fennel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Loads of anise in the flavor. It is Gouden Carolus Christmas on drugs. Otherwise some sourness, malts and yeast. Interesting.

Bottle, bought at De Barrique in Borne. Brown color, cloudy, thick. Creamy head. A powerful licorice aroma. Also loads of licorice in the sweet sugary flavor. Laurel. This beer doesn’t taste too bad, but totally lacks balance.
