330 ml bottle, poured into my snifter glass. ABV 8.5% It pours a very dark brown/chestnut colour, with a thin line of beige head. Not that high retention of course and the size of the head didn’t allow for any lacing left behind, but it does look nice and promising. On the nose mostly clove but after letting it warm up a bit and giving it a swirl, some chocolate and roasted malts aroma surfaced. Lots of chocolate on the taste too. Slighty sweet, untill the roasted malts flavours kick in, giving it a pleasant light bitter taste, which covers quickly some traces of acidic sourness on the background. Thin to medium body, light carbonation. Overall, a very nice bock beer.

Bottle. Pours a slight murky brown coloured beer with a small, light tanned head. Aroma has earthy notes, and a malty base, some caramel. Flavour is a bit flat, some light bitterness detected. Not much of an extraordinary flavour. It has a bit of a watery mouthfeel, medium carbo. Not too much special going on here..

Dark brown body with stable tan to brown coloured head. Cookie dough, quite herbal hops, fresh yeast, apples, and fresh leaves. Very nice fresh yet rich aroma. Quite smooth body, low but active carbonation. Not quite as rich in taste as expected. Well made but too rounded off maybe. Great smell, good taste, okay mouth feel. Well made. (33cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden)
