33CL Bottle bought at the bierkoning in Amsterdam. A dark beer and a puddle of a head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with the alcohol noticeable. The taste has blackberry notes and it is a bit smoky. There are notes of burnt wood as well. Not a special beer, but its drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a brown head. Nose is sweet malts, dried fruit and caramel. Taste is slightly sweet with a sticky aftertaste- very drinkable, if lacking a bit of complexity. Smooth, light body and medium carbonation.

330ml bottle - - Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam
Deep reddy brown, tiny beige head. Poured clear, yeast stuck to bottom of bottle. I served this a little cold, alas. Despite the cold, I get a bit of smoke in the aroma. As it warms it heads towards a lovely sweet roasty coffee, and a hint of dark fruits. Lovely carbonation in the mouth, very soft. Body is quite refreshing, not watery as such, and certainly seemingly not carrying significant alcohol at all, nor cloyingly sweet. Beautiful rich roasty taste. There really is absolutely no alcohol in this at all. I strained, but still could not find it. Finish has quite a bitter bite, and the burntness stays too. Quite delicious - I would never turn down the offer of another one of these.
