3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Black beer with a slightly reddish tinge and a very strong head. The aroma is bitter, roasted and slightly sweet chocolate, and the flavour is gently roasted and mildly bitter. Overall a nice roasted dark beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of and shared with ozujsko (thanks!)
Poured a very dark red-black with a small to medium sized creamy, thick off-white head that went away slowly. The nose was nice; chicory, chocolate, coffee. The taste wasn’t far off. The same notes, chicory, cocoa and coffee, could be felt. Mild and somewhat sweet (more than it was bitter). A bit dry, with notes of herbal hops in the aftertaste. This was a very likable, drinkable, quality beer that fits in the Porter category more than it does in teh s/h/v category. All in all, way underrated.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle conditioned. Deep ruby red brown, good noisy off white head and moderate condition. Big malty barley wine nose that becomes fruity and has some spicy peppery hop notes. Raisins, roast barley and alcohol in the mouth. Sweet and malty in the finish with some obvious alcohol notes.

Weird beer. I found it hard to pinpoint what it tastes like, but I liked it. Good effort.
