3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. The pour is a hazy bright orange. The aroma is fairly light. The taste is light banana, with a lot of other fruit notes. A little nutmeg in there as well. Easy drinking beer with a lot of flavor.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. 15 cl sample. The aroma has big time clove, clove and clove again. Well I do like clove, but not shit loads of it. :-) Hazy, golden-orange coloured beer with a thin, white head. The taste is sticky sweet, has clove again, hint of Belgian yeasty earth tones, some citrus. Clove is not that dominant in taste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tripel effectively spiced with cloves - so the cloves ’warning’ on the label does not simply refer to clove-like phenols produced by certain Belgian and German yeast strains. Thick, sticky, frothy, snow white head over a misty golden blonde beer with peachy hue. Aroma strongly dominated by cloves, way too much so for my taste, with an obviously very spicy but even somewhat medicinal effect; further hints of banana, caramel, gin, hay, dried apricot. Sweetish onset, pear, honeyish accent, soft carbo, smooth mouthfeel, caramelly malts, light yeastiness, and as expected, a strong domination of spicy, medicinal, resiny, bittersweet cloves overpowering the soft, earthy hop bitterishness in the end. Too much of a one-trick pony for me but at least this is an original take on the Belgian tripel style and it does keep me interested in the rest of this range.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - Pours a cloudy deep golden with a fairly big, rocky head. Banana and Belgian yeast and candy sugar aromas. A little aqueous with a spice/clove finish. Average tripe at best.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Kruidnagel, caramel,

Currently I am updating my ratebeer with al the beers I drank but was too lazy to rate at the time. I give the scores I gave back than. If I drink the beers again I might re-rate them.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A little bit hazy in appearance. Aroma is a bit bland but the taste is fabulously spicy with notes of nutmeg.

Schuimkraag heeft wat aanmoediging nodig. Weinig koolzuur, prettig. Geen duidelijke hoofdsmaak, wel kruidig. Prettige Aparte beetje kruidnagel achtige nasmaak

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl bottle at home. Pale yellow/orange with a medium white soapy head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Sweet with herbal bitterness. Flower, citrus, yeast, malt, herbs (clove) and some fruits. A too herbal triple for my taste.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Biernavigatie. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is big yeast, malt, caramel and some citrus fruit. The flavour is medium bitter with a light sweet malt, fruit palate with a little alcohol. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. I didn’t dislike this beer. It was quite tasty and I don’t get the relatively low ratings.
