Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with an off-white head. Yeasty nose with an odd spiciness. Medium body, sweet - tropical - fruitiness again with an odd spiciness, cloves? ends yeasty astringent. A bit of a mess really. 260911

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of spices, yeast, pepper, cardemomme, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, cardemomme, pepper, malt, yeast, and other spices, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

33cl, new exclusive Dutch brew Anno 2011, from De Bierkoning Amsterdam, complex brew, spicy/sweet and fruity, too heavy, not balanced, cloudy, small head, nothing special

PotjeBier (1594) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 29, 2011
33 cl bottle @ home. Amber color, with no head at all, but enough CO2. Aroma’s of sweet spices (speculaas/cinnamon/clove), sweetbread. Sweet flavor full of spices. Medium bodied. Way too sweet for a triple and those spices don’t fit either. Not my cup of tea.

Beer tasting at the brewery 8/7/2011 Thick white head which clears quickly. Amber pour. Interesting aftertaste. The brewer uses cloves (kruidnagel) in this beer

Light brown with small head. Smell of citrus and ginger biscuits. Quite acid taste, after a while there’s more mellow sweet tastes. Aroma has banana, ginger and grass. Pretty weird combination, but sort of interesting at the same time.

Borresteijn (4563) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2011
33cl Bottle bought from the brewer. Slighlty hazy golden orange colour, dense white head. Aroma of spice, mostly a lot of cloves, light citrus, malts. Flavour is sweet, spicy, nutmeg and cloves, light citrus bitter finish with some sweetness. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. Enjoyable, different, but only nice if you really like clove.
