2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 LomYst (149) - Rotterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 17, 2012
far to much clove in both nose and mouth... aroma appears to have some decent maltiness and some yeast, but the clove ruins a lot... nice body, good bittersweet balance.. could have been a fine beer i think
3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 erickok (1074) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAR 1, 2012
Cloudy orange with bubbly grey, thin head. Big on mandarin and light spices, but also anise, cookie dough and cinnamon, really nice. Super spicy taste. Definitely not your average tripel. It works very well in the smell but the taste is a bit too strange. Sharp aftertaste, maybe some extra malt sweetness would have been nice. Certainly a fun beer though! (33cl bottle)
