3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Herbal aroma with a thyme note, cautious fruity background with hints of pear. Taste has a minimally soapy thyme note, an unspecific fruity touch, in the finish dry, minimally astringent, herbal. Not bad, but sadly slightly soapy.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy dark amber with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is of spiced fruit leading to an unusual weak bitter, slightly resinous, fruity, spiced, yeast flavour with a smooth palate and finish. A very refreshing spring ale I must say!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours hazy orange/amber with a small to medium white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, some thyme and some spices. Taste is caramel malts, some spices, thyme and a soft bitter finish. Decent body and a medium carbonation. Thyme is not too much, bot overall just a dull beer.

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy amber coloured brew with an nice taste of thyme. I drunk some French beers with thyme, and this Dutch version is more gentle in taste.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ Home
Cloudy murky brown, decent off-white head. Aroma is dough, yeast and malt. Taste has some additional lemon freshness. But that’s the only aspect that would make you think about spring in this beer. Rather bitter aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Traverse, Utrecht. Hazy dark yellow with a white head. Yeasty thyme aroma with some aniseed. Taste is thyme all the way, maybe a bit too much. Short aftertaste. An interesting combination, beer and thyme, but not well executed.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy brown body with bubbly off white head. Mediterranean aroma, due to the thyme, but it doesn’t dominate the aroma. Rather a nice fresh smell, then. More of a spice taste, but still well within limits for me. Kind of a sticky body, but full enough. Medium sweet. Aftertaste is a bit herbal; clearly the weakest part of this brew. A quite nice drink. Spring like and very drinkable. Like it. (33cl bottle from bottle shop at Utrecht Centraal)

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I didn’t know what to expect from a thyme dominated beer, but this was a bit of a surprise. The spices are a bit much (like most of this brewery’s beers) but this approaches something close to subtlety. The thyme blends well with the hop flavors. Not bad. Bought at the Jordaan JUMBO in 2012.
