3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Arend’s Nest. Black pour with bubbly off white head. Chocolate and coffee in aroma with a certain yeastiness. Flavor is initially chocolate the a strong coffee kick. A slight sour dryness spoils it overall.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From bottle at Arendsnest on 5 April 2011. My first beer from this new brewery and, overall, a quite promising effort. Very dark colour. Good coffee & chocolate in the aroma. There’s just a hint of cooked vegetable which I sometimes liken to baked beans too. Some roast coffee in the flavour. Quite creamy, but dry mouthfeel. Looking forward to trying some more beers from this brewer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Bierkoning. Near black and opaque with an off-white head. Plain chocolate, dark fruit aroma with decent roastiness. Flavour of coffee, more chocolate, with a touch of sweetness on the tongue and a dry, toasty finish. Enjoyable.

(Bottle, De Spuyt, Amsterdam, 1 March 2014) Black colour with rocky, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate, mocha, a touch of cinnamon and cocoa. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, cocoa, dark bread and a fairly dry finish with a generous coffee bitterness. More than medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced stout. Nice one.

2/VII/13 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: VI/13, bottled: VI/12 (2013-603) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!
Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy irregular beige head, bit adhesive, pretty stable. Aroma: fruity, lots of forest fruits, jam, sourish, coffee. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sour forest fruits, mocha, some caramel, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: little bitter, mocha and coffee, forest fruit jam, dark chocolate. And ow yeah, thanks. Another brewery that is gonna start using two words with an "and" in between. As if I didn’t have enough trouble remembering all the De Molen names... Jack *ss*s! :p
