Op tap bij de drie dorstige herten. Mooi donker van kleur met een stevige schuimkop. Smaak is koffie/chocolade achtig. Mooi en lekker bier om te drinken.

Big smoke when opening... Pours a deep black body and big foamy tan head. Nice! Interesting aroma, with a mix of roasted malts and pecan nuts at first, a light funky fruityness later. Light resin, some lemon even. Strangely, only some reviews here many notice of that sourness.. Taste is richer than I expected. Not an impy of course, but rather a well drinkable yet roasted and interesting drink. Long licorice aftertaste. Quite a positive surprise for me! (33cl bottle from bottle shop at Utrecht Centraal)

Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a snifter. ABV 7% Totally black in colour with one finger of thick head, dark brown in colour, with surprisingly good retention. Thick lacing on the glass. Aroma has a ton of roasted malts, some light chocolate, a hint of black olives too. Great taste with liquorice in it, again a ton of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, light vanilla. Nice bitterness on the aftertaste. Thick body with the correct amount of carbonation. Really dry on the palate. Really good beer, can easily stand next to stouts from better known breweries.

Dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is sweet with a touch of licorice. Taste is a coffee assault with an aluminum tinge.

Bottled. A black beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, a bit of brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, yeast, and spices, leading to a bitter roasted finish.

Tap @ Wormer, small sample. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma of chocolate, quite fruity of blackcurrant, slight spicy and earthy as well, hint of roast. Creamy texture. Slight sweet, slight bitter, bit dry. Very well balanced and a good try on an English stout. Good stuff.

(bottle) pours a darkest ruby-brown colour with a creamy beige head. aroma of sour cherries, balsamic vinegar and toasted malts, dark chocolate and herbal hops, with a hint of citrus fruits. flavour is mostly the same, lots of toasted malts and espresso, dark fruit, bubble gum and a light citric tartness in the earthy finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.
