4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Murky brown with light bubbly tan head. Not as big aroma as expected, but a good delicate sweetness with cookies, tea and anise. Pleasant fruity sweet, bit of burned bread in the middle. Develops well in the mouth. Bit sticky, nice. (At Pint Winterbier Festival 2012)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pineapple and anise in the aroma, the anise also comes back in the taste. Nice and creamy as well but a tad too sweet perhaps. Still, a good beer from Zeven Deugden.
33cl bottle from De Schans in Uithoorn.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home. Aroma is spicy and yeasty, sounded like a blob of yeast came along midway pouring the beer, but itís so dark I canít tell. Some sweet red fruit notes and a light note of liquorice. Flavour is dry and medium bitter, mostly of roast, followed by a spicy note of the anise. Not a fan of anise, but itís subtle enough in this one, but only just.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a cloudy, dark brown beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma has touches of laurel, red fruit and some licorice. Very interesting. Flavours are quite sweet, malty influences in the front followed by some yeaste presences in the background. NIce in balance, not the typical BSA. Medium carbo and no alcohol detected. Very decent brew!

Flavour is sweet, malty, dark fruits, cinnamon, caramel, bittersweet malty finish with some spice. Medium to fullbodied. Nice strong ale. The vuur (fire) is most probably the alcohol.
