3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
tastes like american christmas. Cloves, nutmet, maybe even some cinnamon, very interesting. Great aroma. Slightly too thin I think but this is my first beer from De 7 Deugden and it’s a very welcome opening.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy dark amber colour, off white head. Aroma of cardamon, ginger, light wheat. Flavour is spicy, cardamon, hint of cloves, refreshing wheat, light bitter finish with some ginger notes. Light bodied, soft carbonation. Very spicy brew, but it works for me.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This brewery doesn’t seem to appreciate subtlety. The spicing in this beer is no different from the other beers in that it is a bit overdone. Ginger, toffee, raisin, and some darker malted flavors. Bought at the Jordaan JUMBO in 2012.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Lemmys, Leiden. Poured a hazy medium amber with a round white head. The aroma is yeast, rich citrus fruit and some vinous notes. The flavour is light acid yeast with a veggie watery light bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Smells better than it tastes.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes braunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, röstmalzig, leicht fruchtig, Honig. Geschmack hefig, leicht würzig, leicht fruchtig, süß nach Honig.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Bierkoning. Glowing dirt amber body with sticky head. Looks potent. Malty, toffee nose with slight sourness to it. Taste is also sour and malts, with notes of ginger. Quite unusual, once again, for a Dunkelweizen. But we’ll take it...

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Reddish brown, small head. Very spicy. Anise, cardamon, bit malty with brown sugar. Good bitter base, fairly smooth, spicy dry aftertaste. Very herbal ending, a strange yet interesting brew. Overdone in my opinion though. (33cl bottle, cheap)

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
22nd March 2011
Bottle from Bier Koning. Cloudy brown beer. Residual off white head. Softish palate which is also slightly syrupy. A little carbonation. Mild spices, cinnamon and cloves not imparting any dryness which is a relief! Tiny bit of citrus. Not bad, quite drinkable!
