3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 erickok (1074) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - DEC 27, 2011
Amber to light brown with a rocky off white head. Pear, toffee candy, malty base; quite nice. Sweet focus in the taste, with some initial pine hop bitterness to balance. Ends light alcoholic and moderately sweet. Tasty and interesting enough, with its spicy, sharp edge over the dominating fruity sweetness. Well brewed and can stand up against the usually more yeasty and carbonated, classic Belgian rivals.
