Bottle. Pours a hazy and dark amber beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is weak with malt, caramel and spices. The flavor is malt, caramel, fruit and alcohol. The palate is alcoholwarmth and sweetness. Overall an average beer.

Bottle from Berts Bierhuis. Clear amber colour, white head. Nose is fruity, caramel malts, slightly yeasty. Flavour is light malted, fruity, caramel. Slightly dry finish.

Aroma komt niet echt los bij de 8 graden gesuggereerde serveer temperatuur, naarmate de tijd is er donker fruit te bespeuren. Smaak is een combi van kersen, karamel en chocolade, en met een droog bittertje na. Fijn, maar geen paddestoel ontdekt.

Bottle @ home, shared with DutchDrebus. Clear amber color. Weird aftertaste and a little bit weird smell too. ABV, carbo and body suit the beer very well, but to me it wasn’t very good.

Bottle at Arendsnest, Amsterdam: Dark brown coloured brew with an taste of caramel and dried fruits. Also they used mushrooms.

Very good mouthfeel and the colour is nice too. The rest is a little bit below average.

Bottle. A big, foamy beige head sits on top of a clear, dark amber body. Fruity, slightly yeast nose with a touch of caramel. Some alcohol and dark berries. It’s dry and full-bodied, slightly warming, with dried fruits, caramel, some canned tropical fruits and a little bitterness. Yeast notes and bitterness in the else fruity finish. A decent beer that’s not too well put together. 110612

From bottle at In De Wildeman on 8 April 2011. Darkish copper colour. Slightly spicy aroma. A little toasty / roasty malt with some plummy fruit in the flavour. Can’t say I noticed the mushrooms. Overall, not bad at all. Crap notes but it was getting late into the evening. I’ll revisit this one when the opportunity arises.
