Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has strong notes of malt. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of fruit, leading to a dry fruity finish. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing.

Chestnut beneath a settling beige disc. Nose plum, banana and strawberry jam esters blended with soft lactic and hazelnut traces; malt loaf and liquorice as the head retreats to the edges of the glass.. pretty much something different in every sniff. Flavour less complex; glace cherry, liquorice, boiled sweets, some solid underpinning bready malt and yeast. Enjoyable, balanced brew: Spiced dubbel meets doppelbock.

diabel (1584) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - SEP 7, 2009
Bottle Deep brown, creamy/fizy large head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, malts: nice, well balanced aroma. Metallic, moderately sweet, lightly bitter caramel flavour: watery, metallic off-set, caramel popping up to the end.

sayravai (4654) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2009
(Bottled) Almost clear, dark ruby red with floating yeast particles and a smallish, firm and tanned head. Aroma is slightly homebrewish, with caramely malt, ashiness, hints of licorice, and brown sugar. Flavor is sweetish, roasted-malty and gingerbread-doughy with Xmasy spices and dried fruit. Medium body with quite high carbonation. Interesting in a way, but quite sticky-sweet.

OleR (4247) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 23, 2009
Bottle from Belgium Beers, Antwerp. A true gusher! Patrasche Bruin all over the place after opening the bottle. The remaining beer is filled with tiny floaters, but has beautiful dark ruby/amber body. A low beige head on top. Pleasant aroma of sweet nutty malts, marzipan, yeast and ripe red fruits. Taste is gently sweet and fruity. Subdued, sweetish malts and notes of spices and yeast. Good body, vinous. Dryish, fruity ending. Nice stuff.

Bottle, bought @ Willems, Grobbendonk.
Slight gusher. Pours a nice, golden, ruby red. Small, fizzy, beige head on top. Aroma has lots of red currants, some caramel and light viniousness. Medium carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit weird, the fruitiness very subdued behind milky chocolate and roasted notes. There is a sourish touch to it as well. Not really that impressive.

Bottle, 8%. Weak vinous aroma, hint of yeast. Almost clear brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour starts off vinous, turning roasted. I would have liked it a little sweeter, but good and well-balanced.

Hazy brown with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt and nutty notes. Sourish flavour with lacto, roasted malt, caramel and chocolate notes. Mild sourish finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Slightly hazy dark amber golden with a beige head. Spicy, fruity nose. Medium body, overripe fruit, burned caramel and again some spicy accents. Finish is dry. 141208
