It’s unclear dark brown with a creamy, golden head. The aroma has notes of yeast, caramel and fruit. The sweet flavor has notes of yeast, roasted malt, caramel, fruit, a touch of licorice towards the slightly yeasty finish.

MoritzF (8590) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 10, 2010
(bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a big but diminishing frothy off-white head. Slightly yeasty and sweet malty nose with a distinctively toasted touchm restrained fruity notes and rather harsh phenolic spices. Slightly bitter and sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty, almost a bit burnt taste with subtle fruity elements; dry-ish toasty and phenolic spicy finish. Not a very balanced Dunkelweizen. 16.IX.08

CEZ (399) - Milano, ITALY - MAY 16, 2006
[bottle] Hazy dark brown body, abundant off-white head. Cofee/toasted grains character immediately evident. Clean, drinkable, slightly fruity with a spicy (coriander) touch. Body is low to medium. Finish is slightly tarty, not too impressive. Nice balance.
