It’s golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, bread, straw and a little fruit. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of bread, fruit, malt and a touch of straw. The finish is pretty dry. Quite nicely balanced.

(bottle) Clear, slightly greenish golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Discreet aroma: slightly sweet and soft grainy malty nose with faint herbal hoppy notes. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Rather one-dimensional soft malty and strawy taste with herbal and lightly grassy hoppy notes; quite dry and slightly hoppy finish. Rather trite Pils (14.07.08).

Bottled in Italy under the "Demetra Pilsner" label. Expecting as crystal clear body, this one poured instead a slightly hazy golden color, woth medium head. Nose is malty and herbal. The beer I had was past its "best before" date (my fault) and not having been kept in a fridge it wasn’t as crisp and clean as my other De Bassus bottles. It was still easily drinkable with a nice hoppy character and a distinct hazelnut/almond touch.
