On tap at De Bierfabriek, Amsterdam. Hazy orange body with a large off-white head. Caramel nose and tongue. Also a pleasant wooden bitterness. Medium bodied. Not as bad as expected. Worked well with the BBQ chicken.

On tap @ the brewpub. Yeah, it is actually kinda red this. A big frothy lingering and lacing dense white head over a red amber cloudy body. Not much of a nose here really. Mild caramel sweet. Old autumn leafs. Not much more than that really. Slightly buttery in the taste also. Some yeast here, it feels light oily in the mouth and it’s really comfortable on the prickling bubbles. Sweetish and not particularly fantastic tasting to be honest. Rose hips and needles. Nope, not something I feel and urge to finish or have again. 25.09.2014

Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral, cardboard, hay, light malts, nuts, alcohol, unripe banana. Taste is slightly dry and harsh grassy, weeds, cardboard, wood, hay, sap, grass, harsh hops, bark. Medium to longlasting harsh bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Meh!

Draught at Bier Fabriek, Amsterdam. Cloudy orange beer with a decent offwhite head. Malty aroma, berries, grainy, some citrus. Unclean malt and berry flavor, not very interesting at all.

A- Pours an orangey hue with a fizzy, off white head. S- light, citrusey, hints of wheat. T- banana, fig, light fruit, all very muted. M- Medium bodied with ample carbonation. D- This is not a beer i’d revisit. amber ale only in color. Very poor example of the style.
