Draught at the brewpub.
Dark charneol colour. Low head. Pomerance and almond paste in aroma. Good yeast profile and closest to style among the three samples I had at this brewery. Pretty okey trippel that might be a bit too dark in colour and a bit too maltbitter.

Pours a vibrant golden colour with virtually no head.
I found this beer very enjoyable, not hugely complex but refreshing and very drinkable.
Very little alcohol after taste, pleasant sweet, fruity and hoppy flavour.

Apr 19, 2008 [1129-20080228] Tap @ Grand Place (Brussels, B). Boozy grainy heather hand cream aroma. Hazy, light brown amber body with a quick creamy white head. Smooth chlorinated heathery hand cream continues in flavour with floral sweetness. Medium body. Interesting to try, more of a weird combination of items that has been flattened into one dimension.

Apr 7, 2008 Apparently this place is under new ownership... Anyway, that’s what we were told by the barman. Menu was different and perhaps the recipes too. The tripel was pretty unusual, a dark gold almost amber color, with some frothy bubbles on top. Sweetish, caramel-malty nose with some faint orange-citrus notes. Tastes sweet, but not cloying, with some balance coming from a dusting of hops at the end. It’s homebrew-esque, OK, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Sweetness and very soft carbonation suggest that maybe it wasn’t done fermenting. But on its own merits: it’s tasty, has some character, and was even refreshing.

Apr 4, 2008 Draught @ Les Brasseurs de la Grand Place. Hazy, dark golden body with a small off-White head. Aroma is fruity, yeast, citrus and a bit spicy, a hint of alcohol as well. Flavor is refreshing, citrus, grass, spices and some hops. Smooth and nice, not exactly a typical triple.
