3fourths (7801) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 12, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2007 Draught
Consumed at Les Brasseurs de la Grand Place, Brussels, May 2006

This was called the Rouge. Clear ruby copper color. Taste is semi-crisp, sugar coated. Sour, almost spoiled in the nose, not very good. Grainy, sour, lactic acidity in the finish. Not enjoyable.

joergen (19665) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy orange coloured with an off white head. Spicy aroma of caramel, fruits and grain. Fruity flavour of caramel and spices.

sayravai (4667) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 17, 2007
(Draught) Darkish red-amber with a smallish, lacy head. Caramely-fruity aroma with faint licorice hints. Quite dull, slightly acidic and unclean flavor of caramely malt. Light to medium-bodied, quite carbonated, a bit thin palate. A very boring brew in a slightly bad condition (dirty tap again).

thebeertourist (4662) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 1, 2007
On tap at the brewpub. Clear terracotta with a smallish head. Caramel aroma. Molasses and caramel flavours, spiced, good balance. Medium to lightish body. Overspiced, but acceptable.

fiulijn (13533) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 22, 2006
Draught at the brewpub
Hazy amber color. The aroma is lighter than the aroma of the Blonde and Blanche, but at least the flavor is less odd than those, with light malt, some sweet caramel, candi sugar, low bitterness.

Clear copper body. Some typical light malt caramel manages to cover the annoying urinal aroma. The “less bad” of the three beers I tasted there. When your tasting notes of a brewpub beer starts with “Trademark urinal aroma” you know it’s time to move on to something else.

Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2007
Draught @ Brewpub. This was the only one of their beers available when I visited - as the barman put it they were waiting to refill the machine, at which he gestured to the brewing kit. Initial impression is note unpleasant - caramelly slightly sweet malt. But there is no substance to this and the fairly sweet beer only hides the tinny lageriness underneath. Not great but no worse than expected.

JoeinEscazú (1325) - Ozark, Missouri, USA - JUL 30, 2007
Hazy, brownish-red with filmy layer of white head. Faint, fruity aroma with berry notes. Yeasty flavor with raspberry backdrop, faintly bitter, clean finish. Another quaffer from this pub that reminds me of Kolsch. Again, some funk that I think is accidental. But not bad otherwise.

Fantomas23 (463) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 5, 2006
This was my favorite of the three offered on draught at the brewery. Very yeasty aroma like a prototypical Belgium beer. Good malty center. Smooth drinking beer.

Draft at the brewery: poured a brilliant clear copper with a medium beige head. Light malt and hop aroma. Mild yeast. Flavor is the same. Light caramel with some yeast and a touch of hops. Mild sweetness with a moderate sour finish. Good.
