4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 sayravai (4543) - Helsinki, - AUG 31, 2006
(Bottled, 0.375l) Opaque, light red wine color with practically no head. Very berryish aroma of slightly sour cherries and hints of anchovies. Very distinctive, very natural, unsweetened cherry flavor - so far the most natural in any kriek I’ve had! Medium-bodied, medium-tart palate with very low carbonation. A truly beautiful, easily drinkable and enjoyable kriek!

Again with deftim13 busting out the goodness. Rich ruby and blood pour. No head at all but bubbles along the side of the glass. Tart sharp dark cherry/raspberry/rhubarb pie. Taste clean and sharp. Cinnamon and cherries. Nice pucker finish.

750mL c&c thanks to ygtbsm94. Pours a brilliant, clear, deep rose with a diminishing pink head. Nose is sharp cherry pie, doughy French pastry, cherry turnover. Taste is salty, quite quenching, with a powerful lactic palate. Very refreshing. Bright and yummy. Rather subtle for style.

Thanks Brad! Beautiful purple red pour with no head to speak of. Amazingly vibrant cherry flesh and farmy funk with vibrant acidity in the nose. Cinnamon and cherry pit with balanced acidity and juicy funk. Medium body with no carbonation, leaving a super dry and smacking finish. So good.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2012 Smells like fresh cherry pie. Delicious. Too bad it’s completely flat. Pours out like red wine. Palate is nice, medium bodied, but flat. Overall, slightly below LP Kriek, but a solid beer.
