2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle, 2009 with thanks to Kraddel. Pours clear orange, large beige head that dissipates quite slowly and leaves fair lacing behind. Aroma is funk-forward, basement, dust, horse blanket, some lemon and a bit of candi sugar. Flavor is medium plus sweet, sugary, laid on top of basement funk. A light tartness takes over mid swallow and carries you toward the finish, where it is (unfortunately) met by a wave of saccharine like bitterness. Finish is pretty bad actually; dominated by an artificial sweetener aftertaste that is not appealing. Light body, high carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle... Mostly clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. The nose is funky, acidic and fairly acetic. Full-bodied with lively carbonation. Wow! The flavor is acutely sour and acetic up front; then tart and quite sweet on the backside. Finishes crisp and tart with lingering sweetness. Spare the sugar next time. Itís why most Faros suck. This would be very nice if it was a Flanders red - although a bit too sweet for even that style - but itís supposed to be a lambic. Interesting and enjoyable despite being heavy on the vinegar and sugar. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: Hazy deep golden color with a frothy white head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Some fusel. Acidic and fruity.
Palate: Medium + body. Slightly sweet, moderate sour, mild acidic and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation. Medium dry texture.
Taste: Rich fusel. Acidic, citric, sugary and mild fruity.
Overall impression: I tend to like Faro a bit more than the other ones because they are a little bit more sweet.

Earthy waxy barnyard aroma with fruity notes. Sweet-acidic
fruity earthy barnyard taste with brown sugar notes. Mid-bodied.
Sharpish mouthfeel. Sweetish-acidic oily earthy barnyard
