Thanks Bobo. Poured a deep amber color with so little carbonation, only a thin ring of bubbles lightly cling to the side of the glass. Aroma is totally funky, with an underlying doughy quality that is making me salivate. Some grassy, almost hay like wisps of goodness are there as well. As I contemplate the beer, the aroma reminds me more and more of cider. The aroma continues to draw me in. The flavor is so cider like, it is eye opening. The wood is really coming through. The flavor is not as tart as I had anticipated. Vinous is the only applicable word.

375ml bottle from Hopduvel, Gent. Slightly cloudy gold colour with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, farmyard, unripe apples and herbs. Flavour had plenty of citrus and apple fruit, with some musty yeast. The finish was very tart, yet refreshing. Excellent.

Thanks goes out to JoeMcphee. Poured a hazy orange color with a thin off-white head. The aroma was nice and funky. Sweaty, earthy and mildly tart. Also notes of malt, horse and leather comes in with the warming of the beer. The flavor was nice and tart with a low acidity. Semi-sweet with a clean finish.

Many thanks to JoeMcphee for sharing this sought-after brew - hazy copper/gold, with zero head - very funky, leathery aroma, with hints of oak - oak presents early in the flavor, but fades quickly - nice balance of acidity/sourness - not palate-assaulting - very funky instead - blue cheese funk - barnyardy funk - James Brown funk! - you really only experience funk like this in certain cheeses, and lambics of this quality - bone dry and mouth-watering - very nice.

Thanks to JoeMcPhee for lugging this back from Belgium. The beer is bottled on 01/2006 and pours a thick orange marmalade color with absolutely no clarity through the beer. Also, there is no head and just a bit of lacing to the pour. Aroma is musky with light sourness and tartness. There is a nice earthy-herbal twang going on as well. Taste is just lightly sour with light rubber. Orange-like petal flower feel. A very tame lambic when it comes to sourness but still extremely interesting and fun to drink. Mouthfeel is very still and barely any spikes on the cheeks.
750mL bottle, St Paul tulip/snifter glass.

750 ml bottle. 01/2006 bottling. Deep amber beer with a fairly creamy white head. Fantastic aroma, full on musky, earthy, funkiness. Loads of musty dustiness. Strong earthy character. Soft herbal mintiness in the back of the aroma. Flavour is very soft and earthy. Loads of funkiness, heavy dust and a soft vineous tartness. Words don’t really sum up just how tasty this brew is. Only moderate acidity, but the funkiness is just incredible. Soft texture, lingering barnyardy character. I really wish this was imported to North America.

Bottle: Beautiful cloudy, rusty copper pour. Has a white bubbly ring at the top. Amazingly funky aroma. A lot of aged cheese, barnyard, damp canvas, and slightly musty vinous qualities. Complex nose. The flavor is tart, borderline sour with plenty of sharp aged cheese, musty basement, with a solid bone dry finish. Extremely complex and quaff-able.

Apple juice vinegar. I think it was a little flat, it had about an inch n a half of air in the bottle before being opened and poured without any head. It was still tasty slighly sour. Not a personal fave, but good.
