Bottle ’09 - pours a hazy yellow w/ orange hue, lots of carbonation. The nose is tart, lemony, grassy, and sour. A tart, sour taste with lemon zest and a little peppery. Damn good!!!

Bottle poured a golden in color with a huge half glass of white foamy head. Aroma has oak, mild acidity, yeasty funk, and lemon. Mouth feel is medium light and there is high carbonation. Flavor has a fair bit of yeasty goodness, lemon, lighter acidity, and some barnyard.

Very good gueuze lambic from them, full of complexity and very sour, but balanced and well made!

12cl draught tasting sampler at Volkscafé De Cam, pre NvdGD 2014. Pours a deep gold, with a slight prickle as vestigal foam activity. Contained effervescence and hence aromatics: vanilla wood cask, late cheese notes. A present aged hop tingle in the rhubarb compote and intense lemon zest carries a vinous sweetness into a cultured, astringent finish. Love how De Cam is carving out a fresh and subtle niche in moderate fruit-acid balance and retuning age-old musty harmonies.

Geuze amb aroma a palla i fusta, en boca és bastant àcida però facil de beure. Geuze con aroma a paja y a madera, en boca es bastante ácida pero fácil de beber.

The barnyard funky horse blanket aromas are there, but they are not as prnounced and upfront like other geuzes ive had. There are many as upfront aromas light lemon zest, wet hay, and musty hops, also. The finish is quite tart, but again, i expected more, but its still very enjoyable. Im really digging the incredible balance between the sourness and other flavours.

Bottle shared at the January 2014 tasting in Santa Cruz. Orange gold color. Apple skin and champagne aroma. Flavor has apples, lemons, some wheaty malt, and a heavy brett finish with some bitterness. A different gueuze for sure.

Bottle. 6.0%. Best before 01.29. Pours a hazy golden/light amber with an off-white head. Decent lacing. Tart, fruity aroma with a note of horse blanket. Remote wooden overtone. Flavour is sour and fruity, with a horse blanket note, and a metallic overtone as it warms. Sour, dry and bitter finish, lingering light note of apricot. 14.03.14.

Slayer85 (1051) - Firenze, ITALY - JAN 15, 2014
375 ml corked bottle from January 2009 (6% ABV). A hazy/cloudy dark blonde beer, with a huge, fizzy, mostly diminishing white head. The aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately to heavily yeasty (barnyard, dust/attic, cheese), with notes of citrus and apple. The flavor is moderately sweet, heavily acidic. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, dry and pretty long finish with light bitterness. Another excellent beer from De Cam.
