Pours hazy yellow with a non lasting head. The aroma is pretty wild barnyardy with lots of bretty notes. Pretty fruity, tart, olives, leather, horse and grapefruit. The taste is also grapefruity, lemon peel, bacteria, brett, rural notes, citrus, medium tart, weak sulfur, gooseberries and dry. Very enjoyable, yoyo!

Bottle 75 cl, bottled in January 2009. Pours hazy golden in color with a massive foamy white head. Light funkiness, a bit of stable and old cottage wooden notes in aroma. Slightly sharp mouthfeel at first, sour grapefruit and a bit of lemon fruitiness in taste. A bit of chewy wheat as well. Feels a bit dry, but quite crisp at the same time. Gets a lot better after awhile. Actually this is quite nice, liking that funky, slightly sour and a bit fruityness this one has got in aftertaste.

750mL bottle at Euston tap, pours a cloudy darkish orange with a small white head. Aroma of barnyard funk, some tart apricoty fruits, and mild acidity. Flavour brings out loads of barnyard funk, some tart apricot and peach, low acidity and some oak barrel complexity. Very complex overall - very tart, fruity and funky, finishing on oaky notes. Excellent gueuze.

2009 75cl bottle, 03/25/2013. Copper pour, large-bubbled medium head settles to inviting haze on the surface. Aroma is fruity- peaches, apricots and nectarines, tart citrus must and medium barnyard notes, fairly straight and balanced. Taste is lightly fruity- lemon, tangerine and other stone fruit- funky tartness in the middle, light oak and clean finish. Light, crisp body, refreshing. Not overly complex but pretty tasty, would love to drink more often if it wasn’t cost-prohibitive. Nice geuze.

Poured the standard yellow with a minimal frothy white head. Aroma of sour fruit and spice. Medium, lively mouthfeel, moderately carbonated. Flavour of tart fruityness. Nice if a bit unspectacular.

Bottle, ’09 poured an orange golden color with small but creamy and lasting white head. Notes of vinous grapes, lemon skin, barn, florals, wood, and light vinegar funk. Carbonation was medium to heavy but worked well with the gueze. Slightly dry in the finish but mostly just puckery and watering. I’ll have another.

Blind tasting off 18 current available Gueuzes. Appearance: gusher, nice head. Nose: "like a traditional gueze", nice and sour. Taste: rather uni-dimensional, but very good.

750 ml bottle opened with deyholla in the streets. Cheers, dude! Pours a brownish amber hue, richly hazed with frothy whitish head atop, stays as a firm film, laces well. Aromas are richly sour, lactic lemon, a touch of bile, oak, yogurt. Some bready malts. Initial is richly sour, big lactic lemon, yogurt, grapefruit and orange appeal. Crab apple, lemons, and rich oak. Good house brett, oak, and mellow bready malts. Some straw, some grass, dryness. Big lactic sour presence. Middle is a touch sweeter but still richly sour, lemons and lactic acid. Big citrus, sourness, gentle oak makes it’s way through. Backend is tart, dry, and lactic. Some oak, firm tartness, gentle bready malts. Well blended if a bit intense Lactic element. Solid.
