Ungstrup (10853), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 2, 2004 A dark yellow beer with a beutiful lasting lazing head. The aroma is a nice sharp wildfermentated one. The flavor is very fresh with sourness as grapefruits and limes. the end is very dry and woody. A great gueze - and very lively after 1½ years in th bottle. omhper (10141), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 30, 2002 Pale yellow, slightly hazy. Fresh, highly acidic aroma. Short, rich, acidic flavour. Tart finish with a hint of salt. Papsoe (9771), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 27, 2007 (Bottle 37,5 cl) Clear, deep golden with a somewhat rough, white head. Complex nose of vinegar and Brett. Medium-bodied, a little flat, very complex fruit notes and a heavy acidity. Again typical Brett flavours of horse blanket, vinegar and sweat. Dry and acidic finish. 180907 Oakes (6790), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 25, 2002 Cloudy beige; good sour character; a little fizzy; some sweet malt, leather. It’s good, but I’m not sure where I would place it in the gueuze hierarchy. It seems to have less sense of purpose than the others. joergen (6147), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 7, 2005 Bottled.
Cloudy amber coloured with an off white head.
Acidic aroma of fruits and wood with flowery notes.
Fruity flavour with acidic, woody and hoppy notes.
