bottle. pours like a good pilsner., but smells better. big, good, fun nose with plastic and wet wool with orange rind and a sourness that lingers. taste is a bit bland. a touch of bandaid, light sourness throughout. not sour to the point that my jaws tighten. a little bit of grapeskin in the sourness, but overall non descript. thanks for sharing lumpy.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear orange with a small head. Tart with some berry aromas. Also aromas of unripe grapes. Hints of vinegar. Medium to full bodied. Medium to high carbonation. Sour finish.

[591-20070908] 375mL @ Sourfest 2007 (Buffalo, NY, w/ rudolf, frylock, IPFreely, jerc, swoopjones). Strong notes of burnt popcorn, lightly sweet and alcoholic. Hazy, orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sour corn flavour base. Medium body. Interesting popcorn aspect.

Pours a hazy thick yellowish pour with light white head. Smell is sour, funky and grapefruity. Some cheesiness. Taste is tart dull flavored sourness and funk. Decent

Thanks to drabmuh for opening up this bottle. Served in a SAVOR snifter. Pours a clear golden color with very head and zero lacing. A good swirl or two brings nothing back up, and subsequent hard pours didn’t fare much better. The nose brought plenty of earthy barnyard and funk with some oak in the background. The flavor layered the funk quite well. Nice hay and earth and a dry finish that was quite smooth. Light body and very little carbonation. A pretty good example of the style. Tasted at Brugge beer festival.  Cork exploded from the bottle leading to a slow pour due to the massive head.  Cloudy golden pour and funky farmyard aroma.  Very tart flavour with acidic lemon quality

Pour slightly hazy yellow, with a huge bubbely head, that lasts for about two seconds. Aroma of hay, slight yeasty funk, vommit acid, green apples and fresh berries. Taste is really sour, with a slight fruity sweetness Average body, with a heavily fizzy carb. (should have shared this...)

Served from bottle at an ambient temperature at the geuzestekerij during Toer de Geuze 2011. Bubbly white head to a near-clear golden body. Smell of farmyard. Wooden dry taste with tart lemon, apples and a hint of yeast. Dry and tart on the swallow. Above average for the style in my book (Gooik, 01.05.2011).
