Strong oak and tart aroma. Hazy, yellow/amber color, off-white head, very nice lace. Sour, horseblanket, light sweet, oak, tart. Medium body and very soft.

Bottled 10/2000. Head is initially large, frothy, white, fully lasting. Hazy light amber, dense tiny/small particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately yeasty (barnyard, cobwebs), lightly malty (light bread), with notes of grape and cask wood. Flavor is moderately sweet, heavily acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic. Medium body, watery (almost creamy) texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. This was a world class bottle of gueuze IMHO (bought/imbibed at Hopduvel in Gent).

i'm very grateful to duff for bringing a bottle of this back from the old dart. enticing rotten egg aroma is quite sweet. tastes of oak, apple peel tartness with some orange pip bitterness. then comes the yoghurt and then the white leaves from the centre of a head of iceberg lettuce. complex stuff. i was already belching dried fish by the end of the glass, normally it takes me an hour or two after finishing a lambic until this happens

Thanks goes out to JoeMcphee. Poured a hazy orange color with a thin off-white head. The aroma was nice and funky. Sweaty, earthy and mildly tart. Also notes of malt, horse and leather comes in with the warming of the beer. The flavor was nice and tart with a low acidity. Semi-sweet with a clean finish.

Looks like a bitter..but don't be misled! Ring of head, golden body. Aroma is grassy, musty yet fresher than average. Wow! You put it in your mouth and you KNOW as it sits there that once you swallow it it will hit you with sourness. Dry. Doesn't have the raw ediges of some, except for the sourness, but it is a beautiful synthesis of what a lambic can be. Refreshing. Good carbonation in the body. (bottle at GBBF 2003)

Bottle at Hasselt Belgian Bierweekend. Great sour wheat gueuze aroma, mild sweetness. Electrical ozone. Brilliant amber clear, slight haze, with thin off-white head. Medium body with mild-medium carbonation. Tart and tangy, acidic with ozone and lactic. Bitter tanginess in finish and after. Nice gueuze lambic.

Pours with a huge white, fluffy head and delightful deep orange yeast swirls in an amber coloured fluid. Fresh, biting aroma and a great yeasty sour buttermilk flavour. Good bite in the aftertaste. Excellent.

37.5 cl bottle, bottled on 15th March 2003. Shiny golden colour, slightly hazy, a bit surprisingly persistant head. Aroma of dried apricots, some honey and a little bit of hops. Dry flavour of citrus fruits, somewhat woody. Very bodied, lemony tart and sparkling on the palate, with a very light bitterness deep into the aftertaste.

Pale gold, light white head fading to a film. Aroma is tart fruit: peach, apple. Light-medium body. Mouthfeel is initially like a white wine: you get the acidity first, then the funk invades: all sorts of complex barnyard flavors. Finish is apple cider on crack. Just lovely.

Wonderful and well balanced gueze. The taste is, of course, very acidic, but not as harsh as for instance Hanssens. This beer is just classy.
