4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Dusty 2006 bottle in Belgium: Carbonation has been calmed, but it still produced some head and it added a soft creaminess to the texture. Dark with ruby-red highlights. Sweet, enticing nose with hints of sugar-coated oak and vanilla beans. Complex flavors and aromas of rich cherries, pits/oak, almond, soft vinegar, and wine. Completely delicious.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
2006 bottle at DHVL. It pours very deep red, with no head whatsoever. The nose is fresh cherry, chamomile, Savlon, subtle sourness and Parma Violets. The taste is tart, juicy cherry, red grape, moderate acidity, lip-smacking sourness through and through, rich fruitiness, tart lemon and Parma Violets. Good balance and massive flavour. Pretty damn sour and delicious. Easily one of the best oude krieks I’ve had!

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
2005 Vintage - 375 ml. sampled @ Kulminator - hazy raspberry coloured, some white lacing - nose is going towards cherry more than kriek, tart but with a fruit sweet edge, nice sourness underneath - taste is good, going fruitier side rather than the more thinned and sour side, some softer fruits, light cellar, light vinegar, light wood - lovely very light syrup body - De Cam is good - this is good stuff - should revisit this one - wonder if aging upped this one a bit

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ruby red colour, pink head. Aroma of cherry, cherry pips, marsipan, light sour, loads of cherry. Quite sour flavour, balanced acidic. Light vinigar, cherry, fruity acids, youghurt and marsipan. Finish quite sour, unsweetened cherry yoghurt.
Really nice, the cherries held up nicely despite the somewhat older age.

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad!
A: Dark red hue with a subtle haziness. The color is really beautiful. The beer has a rather small head that quickly fades, leaving a few touches of lacing behind.
S: Huge cherry scents with sour funk. The aroma is distinctly Belgian and wonderful.
T: Surprisingly tart, even though I was expecting it. Cherries are prominent throughout, along with a funky sourness that makes your mouth pucker and eyes squint in lambic delight.
M: The beer is very acetic, but not harsh. It’s amazingly tart and enjoyable.
D: I’d love to have this one again. I found it extremely pleasant, enjoyable, and intriguing. It’s a great beer to savor and inhale the bouquet of sour cherries.
