2005 Vintage - 375 ml. sampled @ Kulminator - hazy raspberry coloured, some white lacing - nose is going towards cherry more than kriek, tart but with a fruit sweet edge, nice sourness underneath - taste is good, going fruitier side rather than the more thinned and sour side, some softer fruits, light cellar, light vinegar, light wood - lovely very light syrup body - De Cam is good - this is good stuff - should revisit this one - wonder if aging upped this one a bit

Thanks Huhzubendah for sharing the bottle! Poured into a tulip glass showing a translucent red wine and barely any head. The nose shows strong, ripe, and sweet bing cherry forwardness. The palate is lightly carbonated and medium bodied. Once again showing strong, juicy, and ripe bing cherries yet completely dry. This flavor permeates throughout akin to a jolly rancher. Absolutely fantastic.

9/VIII/16 - 75cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: n/a, bottled: 2009 (2016-819)

Very murky cloudy deep ruby red to purplish beer, small creamy pink to orange head. Lots of residue, both in the glass (it’s like freshly squeezed fruit juice!) and on top of the foam. Holy moly, how many cherries are in this bottle? :o Aroma: very fruity, krieken all the way! Funky wood notes, bit lemony. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: so much krieken! An overload of cherries, yet nothing sweet or artificial at all!! Little bitter, some tannins, soft acidity, some almonds. Aftertaste: wood notes, bit sourish, little bitter in the finish, shitload of cherries again. What a beer!

doublebock (556) - California, USA - JUL 27, 2016
Appearance: Dark red down color with very little head Aroma: Rich red wine with prominent but not overwhelming cherry. A bit like cherry Robitussin. Taste: Rich and chewy cherry malt with some cotton candy. Really pronounced oaky finish has some cotton candy Overall: This was a 2016 so still many years for more complexity to develop. May be a bit too medicinal for some folks.

Japalo (1841) - DENMARK - JUN 17, 2016
Bottle@home. Small head. Purple. Moldy mouse cork aromas. Tart dry cork taste. Faint cherry and wood. This is not right compared to other rating. Taste like cork in a wine bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ClubGonzo (5468) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 5, 2016
Bottle, 2009 vintage. Pours a deep cherry red body with a short-lived white head. Nose is red berries, stable funk, cherries, apple vinegar and hints of wood, hay and lemon juice. Taste is tart cherries up front, then an assault of lemon juice, apple vinegar and lactic sourness takes hold of the palate. In the back, cherry pits and dark fruity tones make themselves known. Medium to light body, dry finish, high carbonation. Amazing stuff, really mouth-puckering sour but with just enough cherry flavor to be an outstanding specimen of the kriek breed of sours.
