4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle courtesy of Secret santa. Thanks. Pours a cloudy amber color with minimal head that instantly vanishes away. Perhaps this is a Jonge Lambik. The aroma is disgusting with extra funky horse blanket, whores dirty sheets and some barnyard bouquet--very nice. The flavor, like the aroma, is overtly funky with overripe fruits, cider, spoiled tart green apples, bit of sugar, oak and cedar. The palate is full and smooth with very soft carbonation. Finishes long and tart. Overall: I loved this, funkiest beer I’ve had in a long time. Thanks Santa you clearly went above and beyond to get me this.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[275ml bottle, The Bottle Shop, Canterbury] Three year old bottle, aged and enjoyed. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow, with a thin white lacing. Aroma is only mild funk, mostly sweet fruit, some apple, just a rich honeysuckle on the nose - and on the palate. Once the main act hits, there’s a wonderful moment before the slight tartness arrives, like a pickled finish. Aged beautifully, this beer is outstanding

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2005, thank you Bucketboy. Pours golden brown somewhat clear with almost no head. Aroma brings some refreshing lemony flavor, but subtle tart lambic yeast. Flavor is pretty tart on a decent body, clean for sure and goes down smooth. Not overly puckering tart, and enjoyed and pleasant.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Removing the cork produces no sound. Very thin white head
quickly disappears entirely. Nearly clear coppery body with
light carbonation. Funky apple and wood aroma with earthy floral
notes. Dryish-acidic waxy barnyard taste with winter apple
notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, flat mouthfeel. Dry-acidic waxy winter
apple aftertaste with oily barnyard notes. Odd. It’s really
different from geuze, and not really that acidic. Feels like
there’s a good bit of sugar left. Nice. (0.375l bottle. Not sure
where from, as wife reorganized the beer crates without asking
