Bottle shared by Travlr: pours a clear bright pink with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a tart light fruity nose with a touch of pale malty sweetness and funk. Starts with good fullness and effervescence with puckering tartness and horseblanket funk with some vinous fruitiness before a crisp, drier finish. Well-balanced and complex.

My Bottom Line:
Lactobacillus and wild yeast go wild over sour cherries before acetic nudges and soft effervescence clean up the finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-There is but a thin ring of foam on milky pink red.
-This is obviously very dry and tart.
-I would have liked a little more harmony between the chosen funkiness and fruit.
-While this is a memorable lambic, I don’t see it as being as accomplished as their regular Gueuze and Kriek.

Bottle.

Bottle. Light hazy red with a tiny white head. Cherries, lactic sourness and berries in the nose. Flavour has berries, lactic sourness, acetone, dark wood, rubber, flowers. Medium body, oily texture, near flat carbonation, medium sweet and sour. Lactic sour and sticky finish. Ok.

Beautiful orange-reddish color (rosé?) with white head. Aroma is lambic funk, very fruity, all sorts of fruits: Cherry, gooseberries and blackberries all present. Some mustard, but sweet mustard, like Feigensenf. Taste is lactic tartness, interwoven with the intense fruit aromas, some leather, so much going on, more of this cheesy barnyard feeling and a dry finish. Carbonation is not too aggressive, just enough to get some kick in there. With decanting, the fruits develop some more, the carb settles down and it becomes even better. Quite sour, but with an amazing balance with the fruits. Absolutely beautiful. A lambic masterpiece.

so fantastic, came close to scoring a bottle but i’ll take a healthy pour if you’re offering .. . lots of fruit and sour fruit .. bracing and clean cut, immensely deep and complex .. i could sit with a glass for weeks, just staring and sipping, until dementia set in and i spooned my eyes out.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2015 Pours ugly pinky color, sliglty haze, especially in the end of the bottle, with almost no head. Visually medium to high carbonation. Aroma is fruity, with notes of goosberry, blackberry, sour cherry, bramblerry, lemon juise, lambic acidity, oak wood...the same are flavors, firstly moderate sour, with evident specified fruits, which I mentioned by aroma and are very well balanced. Finish is dry, lactic tart and complementary sweet. Body is light to medium, carbonation is medium.
