Light blond color; huge head. Very nice aroma, a bouquet of flowers, with some honey and rum. Light mouthfeel, quite dry, with a light grassy touch in the front, very light manure and flowers (a real spring beer ;-)
Unfortunately the body and flavor are too weak at the end; correct bitterness. I think that there are some flaws in the brewing process, but that transmit to this beer a touch of originality.

Bottle conditioned, from Fabeers in York. Amber, faint haze, moderate lasing white head and gentle condition. Citrusy and then faintly barnyardy followed by downright shittiness in the aroma. Tangy and yeasty sweet with a mix of fruity turd in the mouth and some suggestion of back-of-the-throat vomit. Low acidic finish with some sweet fruitiness. Kinda like its been the wrong way through your digestive system.

Bottle (from Bitter Virtue). Malty sweet aroma with wood and fruity aspects. Slightly unusual in the mouth, some sweetish caramel a not entirely out of place sourness, more fruitiness and a little funkiness. I wasnt entirely sure how much I liked this but I was interested enough to drink a 750 of it.

Clear orange-amber beer; end of bottle full of protein flocculation; good, just off-white head, leaving some lace. Very fresh-smelling: rosehips, citrus, sorrel. Sourish flavours, vegetable, again rosehips, I’d say, lemongrass maybe. Interesting. I fear a slight lightstroke, but certainly not too bad. Light, a little bit of acidburn, CO˛-feel despite very little apparent carbonation. Not bad, but I can’t help but wonder if the sourish taste is really intentional. Then, "vegetable extracts", as the label reads... rhubarb or sorrel, indeed?

Bottle. Hazy orange colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma is impressively barnyardy, walking a fine line between rustic (hay, cheese etc.) and shit (in the manure sense). Some fruit and malts in there as well. Tastes a lot like a cider on first inspection, highly carbonated, fruity and quite sour throughout. Light to medium bodied. I think I quite like it.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2005 Bottle. Nice pooey nose. Nice farmohouse stench, and some swimming pool (i think i’ve heard motelpogo mentin this a few times with certain beers, but i definitely found it in this one. Soft , lightly acidic, hay and shit and all th rest of it.l Lightly spicy and herbal, really interesting.

Bottle. Bright orange, big foamy head. Barnyard and sweet hay/grass type aroma. Not as strong or challenging a flavor as expected. Smooth finish.

Sweet and buttery, light malt, with fruity character. Mainly buttery. Dull hazy light golden with thin foamy white lacing head. Light bodied with medium-high carbonation. Starts with sweetness, buttery, but has an acidic fruitiness to it that doesn’t balance well. Buttery and slightly sour throughout, dull beany finish and non-existant after. This just really isn’t a very good beer, and the 6% abv doesn’t help. Almost magnifies the faults of the taste.

this is quite an interesting concept of a beer - basically a light tripel, tastes pretty much the same. still well rounded and full
