A gentle haze punctuate this straight golden ale which develops a towering frothy, dense white foam. Resinous and fairly green, herbal nose delves into the spicy, bready yeastiness to raise up a chivey, accentuated spicy profile. Not as fresh as I should have drank it, but I can see how the mostly faded dry-hopping must have been strongly flowery and resinous earlier on. At this mature stage (probably closing on 1-yr old), the yeast is fairly present though fortunately not stealing the show from the hops and the malt remains just gently cerealic and on the pale, bready side of the spectrum. This makes for a straightforward oiffering that does not necessarily strive for balance, but rather focuses on hops and I can see how enjoyable that must be for variety’s sake in Belgium. Fairly dry, yet convincingly warm and bold for a 6% offering, offering a relatively dense texture presumably thanks to the non-filtration and smallish, tighter than average bubbles. Hop-forward indeed despite having several months under its belt (BB Apr. 2014). Pretty good, though at this stage, it’s stronger on bitterness than aromas.

Liquide cuivré, belle mousse blanche qui colle au verre, amertume raisonnablement forte, mais étrangement peu d’arômes et goûts de houblon malgré le dry hopping.

Hazy orange color. Big, bright white head. Very fluffy, leaving soapy lacing.
Nose is orange, mandarin, tropical fruits. Good nose.
Taste is orange and grapefruit peel. Dry biscuit malt. No resin but a lot of acid and bitterness. Medium bodied, clean beer with a dry finish. Decent enough

Orange coloured body, clear, with a big and thick white head on top. Very good retention.
Aroma of grassy hops, oranges, tangerine.
Taste is hoppy with tangerine, oranges, light tropical fruits. Nicely bitter with a long aftertaste.

Bottle @ deTolly, Tartu. Pours hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is sweetish, caramel, honey, hay, toffee, peches. Taste is sweet with some bitternes, caramel, toffee, slight yeastiness, hay. Medium body. Slightly bitter finish.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2015 Bionda tendente allambra, molto torbida, bel cappello di schiuma bianca compatta. Eccellente aroma floreale con punte erbacee, si conferma al palato con sentori floreali e agrumati. Amaro molto composto, ipa piacevole e beverina, bene la carbonazione.
