Green bottle but no noticable damage. Poured with a good sized foamy frothy cream colored head that lasts for a while and some lace. Color is hazy and has a tarnished copper amber. Aroma is malt toasted oat cereal hint of smoke. Flavor has smoke show much more with a touch of sweetness and some yeast. Not too complex, but not bad. Slight tang also. Good body and carbonation. Finish is smokey at first then tangy ending with a touch of alcohol.

There’s a lot to like in the this beer. Very aroumatic. biscuity, toasty malts some grassiness. thick caramel malty syrup a touch of bitterness but plenty of sprucey, herbal flavor. Body is surprisingly thick and carbonation is just almost biting. Not very good looking but tasty. This bottle is a bit old, I think there’s some oxidation. not much funk though, despite being in a green bottle.

Green bottle. Poured cloudy medium peach with a dense cap of beige head.. set up nicely in the glass. The aroma picked up warm peppery spices and cloves over honey, green raisins, and toffee.. wet oak and a little green apple right on the back.. I loved the initial impression, but digging deeper revealed some light struck character. The flavor confirmed my fears.. dry cardboard, green apple, and semi-sour oak (or something like it) were laced throughout.. raisins and toffee sweetness at the core.. dry and a little sour on the finish and some tasty dried bananas and rising smoke. About medium-bodied on the palate with low carbonation.. sour and a bit sharp.. not a joy to drink.

Countbeer (4397) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - APR 6, 2010
UPDATED: APR 25, 2011 Bottle: Not a real (special) smell. Just some hints of hops, wheat and sweets. Big white foamy head that disappears quick. Hazy yellow orange color. Taste is very light and well balanced mix of some fruits, smoked ingredients, sugars and some hints of hops, just a little bit. -------&# re-taste/re-rate: bottle: Small pretty vast off white head on top of a hazy dark orange colored beer.  Smell honey, smoke, fruit, orange, hops and soap.  Taste caramel, abricot, smoke, light toasted malts, sweets, hops, bitter, hop flowers, wheat, hint of spices and a very light touch of liquorice. Fine bitter, light dry aftertaste Soft light creamy mouthfeel, low carbo, medium to full body and light creamy texture.

Bottle 33 cl from Dranken Geers. Appearence like muddy waters turning against the red corner with a thin whitish head. Nose is nutty, perfumic with some apricots and some light pepper. The taste is tipically belgian (crappy thing to say I know) Some spicies and celler-wet wood: Finaly it has a touch of a traditional juniper-bitter. Medium palate with a natable touch of alcohol. Allright but average.

Rich amber pour with a thick sticky white head. The nose is lightly tart with a kiss of soft bretty funk over a fairly soft toasted caramel sweetness. A touch of light fruit as well as a bit of soft spiciness. In addition there is a little bit of light herbal character. On the front is soft and fruity with a little bit of malt sweetness. It opens into a lightly phenolic middle and this turns into a pretty assertive smokiness on the back. Warming intensifies the smokiness on the nose.

Thanks to a friend (Arjen) for sharing. Hazy orange-brown colored, big head. Nice aroma of malts, smoke and even a little bit of balsamic vinegar. Bitter flavor, some malts, again smoke, more bitter in finish. Interesting brew, light and balanced.

Green standard 11.oz bottle. Hazy orange-tan color. Minimal head. Medium-bodied, relatively thin and drinkable for a Belgian. Quite bitter and hoppy, matches up nicely with the funky yeast. Quite a nice beer, but a touch underwhelming.
